I have not had many comments with my 5 boxing other than one guy saying that for a second he thought I was outriders. I can imagine folks think I am either a Caravan or the Outriders.
One person in Hinter ran by and yelled cheater and that was it. I have talked to a fair amount of people who were interested but not many negative responses. Quite honestly if they do start coming in I just won't acknowledge them.
I do got out of my way to be pleasent but than again I am like that in game anyways. I will not over crowd a solo farmer and will usually let them finish up first or give them dibs on many of the mobs.

I've been multiboxing on Uldaman for about 2 years. I've never once received anything from any Game Masters (GMs) nor received any email about any warning or ban. I have on a few occasions been told by players to 'Watch it' or 'so-and-so has reported you for botting' which most players don't know the difference between boxxing and botting. On the current realm that I am multiboxing shaman, I've been told many times by several players that I could get into trouble for having multiple accounts. The problem is that many players don't understand that boxxing is fine as long as you're at your keyboard hitting keystrokes controlling your characters. Boxxing doesn't mean botting. Botting means that there is some automation of a character happening where you're not at your keyboard. The makers of World of Warcraft don't like that. As long as you're at your keyboard controller your character(s), you're fine.
When a GM receives a report about someone, they will look into it, but when they find that you're boxxing, they will leave it at that. Boxxing multiple characters is fine.
lol, i even ticketed the gm telling them i'm multi-boxing before i started pvp'ing
in the ticket, i said i figured i was going to be reported a lot, so wanted to give them a heads up
@ startpost:
I suggest to report the verbal harassment, because wishing someone dead is very likely to be against the Terms Of Service.
Was questing in WPL yesterday, helping some guildies.
Burned down the Scarlet front command tent (or whatever it's called) and raised the flag, ran back to the bulwark to hand in and realised my slaves hadn't completed it as they all needed to raise the flags.
So I run all the way back there and just before I arrive I pass some mage who has something against multiboxers. Que the abuse, when I get to the quest area (the mage was on the same quest by the looks of it) I agro all the guys and start to kill them, but realise the mage is going to try burn down the tent. Not waiting to wait for it to respawn, considering I'm doing the clearing, I run in with one of my slaves and burn it down. Que more abuse about being a wanker, jizzbag, etc. Apparently I'm not allowed to do quests before others, even if I do all the clearing.
He just gets the normal polite response.
Few minutes later an idiot who was in one of the same areas as me when I was around 20 pipes up "lol wut is with that guy and his shammys" and then the debate over "why waste money multiboxing" started. Got a bit sick of it so I started going at him with the multiboxing hate bandwagon thing. His reason for hating multiboxers = " ". Yep, nothing.
Some people are pathetic. Jump on the bandwagon but dont like it when it turns out we have our own opinion.
Hell yea! I completely agree and do the same thing. I act nice to them and sometimes they either "act" nice back or just leave me alone. I must say that I love the random tells from people saying "by the way, I just reported you lololol". I just laugh and tell them I'm dying to chat with a GM. Despite the fact that I've been reported multiple times, I have yet to chat with a GM.Quote:

I've tried doing the complimentry "Hey, I'm a 5-boxer" response but the GMs on my server (Nordrassil-US) always seem to take forever (as in hours). I just got a email from them saying we can't discuss this in email, contact us again. I gave up after that. If they wanna chat with me, I'd me more than happy to.
