Levelled my level 65 guys in Nagrand for about 6 hours yesterday (guess they are now level 66). I don't attack any horde unless they attack me first. Solo players get ganked all the time - I've seen it happen to a lot of folks. But that's the great thing about MBing - no single player should be able to take you out, and most know this and don't even try. By the time you are 65/66, you should be able to take down at least two level 70s.
I had one level 70 attack me while I was killing four ogres. Took him out pretty quickly, killed the ogres, he self-rezzed (a shammy), so I killed him again. Rezzed the one guy he downed and went about my business. When he rezzed again after his corpse run, I was still close killing ogres, he attacked, I killed him again.
Some people are just stupid.
Corpse camping is the single reason I don't play on a pvp server. I work with a guy who tells stories of corpse camping someone for HOURS just because someone pissed him off. That alone is enough to let me know I don't have any business on a pvp realm.
If they'd introduce a free-for-all PvP ruleset, so I can attack my own faction if I want to (because they're mostly the ones who steal the resource node I've just cleared!), I'd have another go at rolling a PvP team in a heartbeat :)
Until then, I guess I'll stick with a consensual PvP ("normal") server.
Personally i play on Kazzak Eu wich is a pvp server but is actually pretty hardcore in pve aswell as both Forte and Last Resort had theyr homes here earlier but luckly they migrated with all the fanboys! Ganking is rare but world pvp happen alot and from what i learned from gankers is to just dont react when you know you will lose.
When you see a guy on epic mount running towards you and aparently plans to attack dont run if you know you cant get away, its actually faster just to corpse run in most cases. And belive me its totaly boring to kill someone who just stands there like a npc.. The zone has to be extremley empty to entertain a guy to corpse camp someone who just resses anyway.
When your ganked take a trip to the toilet make some snack and something to drink then 99% of the gankers are gone if you havent done anything against them.
However if you go totaly emo spitting on them and try running you entertain them because people like that find it fun. Relogging to your main brings and comming to STV is exactly what they want because most of thoose guys loves world pvp, fair or not WTF pvp is rarley fair even on 70...
Preparing is in 90% of the cases if you will win or lose, personally i always have a healthpot ready and i will keep NS for elites and pvp encounters. The chance of winning is high in most cases as good pvpers rarley attack someone they KNOW for 100% they will win and bad pvpers attack people they think they can beat.(However they are in most cases VERY wrong) :)
had 3 pvp encounters on my way to 35 so far but i been instancing alot:
First i was 21 at the hillsbrad farms and a 29 hunter came from behinde but i doubt he could see that i was 5 because he seemed pretty shocked when i turned around and took 50% of his health with a shock. Second was a ?? warlock also at the farms who came up from behinde and started using rain of fire wich ended in a epic fight were i lost two and he died. Last encounter i had was a 30 warrior who ganked another guy while i came from behinde and went down with a earthshock.
Best part of wow is to down someone who attacks you on unfair odds. :)
This kind of thread makes me really appreciate the fact that I rolled 5 Druids. :) Now you see me now you don't! kill hide kill hide.
I hated this on PVE as well. One fun thing though is (if you have fear or equivelant) is follow them around and if they attack a mob fear it. The guy will finally end up leaving you alone after they get killed by all the aggro your fear caused them. :) A guy stole a node I was mining after I got attacked by a mob so I made him regret it. :)Quote:

I'm loving PVP enough as it is at my low level of 23 (druids) and just can't wait to get to 70. You just can't compare fun on PVE servers to a PVP one.
I have been camped myself and after a few kills I simply rez at the grave and hearth out. There are way too many other areas I can hit to do what I need to do. Unless there is more than one person camping (one at your corpses and one at the grave) you should be able to get away fairly easy. Or roll druids and rez/cat/prowl and get away.Quote:
