Looks fun. "Finding the right stuff" has it (the build) changed much from what you posted before? Or do you just mean it took some gearing up/practice before things started clicking?

Ya the build changed further. I dropped Mystic Ally and picked up Epiphany, as you can see in the video it's up about every 40 seconds or so, pretty much any elite pack it destroys, and if there is multiple elite packs, it's even better. Just churns through them.
I'll need to do a complete write up, with the layout the video was more proof of concept.
Ellay, http://www.dual-boxing.com/commons/newvideo -- this will put your video in highly visible areas of the site, including the front page, the top of the main forums listing, and the top of the Videos forum. Highly recommend to anyone posting videos. ;)
Mmm, alright sounds good. I didn't put any time editing it so feel bad if it's on the front page :) will try to get some better ones on there.
I'll see your American Monks and raise you a Korean Wizard!

Now, if we could just see that while multiboxing. ;)
So which team is the strongest after the patch? 4 Wizards, 4 Monks or 4 Crusaders?
Is anyone playing a wizard team in T3+?
I think that 4 Monks have the best survivability if you play T2+.
My 4 x Crusaders are around 150-200k DPS, doing T1. My Wizards are 500-750k DPS T2
I'll keep at with Crusaders to up their gear.
Ellay how are you controlling your monks? I find holding spacebar for the left and right clicks to be really tedious and the monks tend to veer off and attack a slightly further target desyncing my group even further. Cyclone strike isn't a problem but things like crippling wave and exploding palm are. Please tell me there is a trick as i'd love to incorporate monks into my multibox but right now its to much kung-fu clicking on my keyboard to get it to work right. For example I tried making a macro that would hold SHIFT down forever. And then another key to let shift go so that i stationary attacked with everything. It caused desync issues bigtime.
I use Q as my shift key, and space bar as my click to move key. When in combat I hold down shift and left click - it does not give me any issues with runners.
ah i see..i just don't want to push 2 buttons just to force standstill
I use ISBoxer to assign Shift+LeftClick to LeftClick and Shift+RightClick to RightClick, stops melee characters from running off while in combat and means I don't have to hold down shift all the time.
I experimented with a shift macro as well and found it didn't work as well as assigning keymaps in ISBoxer.
Does the shift+Left click allow you to still click on items and npc's? That might be an even better improvement for me :)
always a tradeoff somewhere!
As far as builds go, the nice thing about this game is the ability to switch classes without too much trouble.
I love the monks and they are rocking but it's always interesting to mix and match. I may have to switch it up again O.o Although... the combo is pretty sweet as is.. ok I'll stop talking out loud and try out stuff.
250-300k damage crusaders and I moved up to T2, fire chain elite can hurt but otherwise progress is going ok!
I've been doing T3 with my 4 Wizards. Arcane torrent with both blackhole and frost nova using round robin to keep elites/bosses perma CCed, which is fun. Feels like the old CM days :P I want to get a Wand of Woh or four and play around with that build though.
Just started out, learning the ropes slowly but it's quite amazing what you can do once you put some time into setups.
Having a main account before starting multiboxing helped quite a bit with leveling up.
Hardest part before you can really boost all your characters to 70 fast is getting each account into adventure mode, I'm not sure what the exact mechanics are but once you kill malthael you unlock adventure mode (60+?). After that it's easy as pie to level up characters.
This only works if you have a booster main account: 1 main + 3 alts
Load up a T6 adventure mode game with one of the alts.
Select a4 bounty hellrift, join with all characters.
Leave low level character at waypoint, proceed with main character. They'll get credit for everything just standing there.
Clear bounty + very often spawned cursed chest.
1-50 you'll oneshot pretty much anything
50-62 can will get slower, depending on your main's gear
62-70 cursed chests will become very hard to do, trick here is to create 4 seperate games and fish for "clear hellrift 2", yielding significantly more xp and can be cleared very easy.
Bottleneck is mostly 65+ depending on your main characters gear, but in hindsight you might as well just level up the other 3 multiboxed in adventure mode rifts from 65-70. Either route should take about 1-2 hours from 1-70. Anyway was my way of doing it, I'm not aware of faster ways currently but happy to learn if there are.
Current teams and experimenting:
4x WD's : ~300k dps farming normal bounties currently, rifts on t1 took about 15-20 mins to clear. Goal here is to gear up and push 600k dps while farming a1 bounties for ring of grandeur. Skillwise I'm not really set yet on what is best since the damage isn't yet that high, switching alot between acid rain/firebat-sycopaths/locust.
4x Wiz: Very tempted to try them out reading posts on this forum, round robin with things like black hole/frost nova sounds amazing. Got amazing luck with 3/4 characters having a firecoat, once last one has one too I'll be giving it a go.
4x DH: Not sure what to do with these guys, firecoats and reaper wraps might make em viable since hatred generation is in a terrible spot right now.
Loving it sofar.
Just started boxing in D3 last weekend. Had a horrible time at first with desync, but figured it out via the irc channel (thanks Lax).
Playing 4x Barbs with an insane setup planned. This is going to take some time for sure, but currently going a throw build with warcry for increased defenses. Here is a link to my current build: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculato...RP!VSeX!ZYcacb
Now for notation, what I'm planning on doing for each of these barbs requires 1 crucial item: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/ring...randeur-3qRFop
With this item, I'll be able to eventually take advantage of two crucial set bonuses: Immortal Kings (for perma ancients) and Asheara's (for spawning followers) With 'cannot die' tokens on each follower, and unites on each, as well as any type of summonable (like Maximus on the enchantress, Genzaniku, or Skycutter on the templar, and some sort of dps or CC type on the scoundrel, like Windforce).
Currently up in arms about best weapon choices, and for now http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/the-...-axe-of-sankis with http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/the-...undredth-spear seem like the most logical.
I'll keep updates going, and I do stream occasionally on twitch.tv/kaveduck
Cheers!
That ring is nicknamed Ring of Requirement because essentially it is required :P Can only be found in A1 bounty cache or A4 but act 4 is random between acts 1 through 3, so if trying to get it I would just farm A1 over and over.
Wizards with a Black hole rotation are smooth sailing, I was able to tackle enemies I had thought were a lot more difficult than I should simply because you lock them down from far away and just plug damage into them. If they had a teleport ability similar to Dashing Strike. I would be playing that class right now.
Last night I tried out 4x Witch Doctors with maybe 250k ~ avg dps each, they were fresh 70's... and I'm not sure what it was but I just didn't like the feel of the pet build I was going for. With 5 dogs per char and a garg out, you end up with half of your pets sitting there and doing nothing. I will say there was not a large chance of dying because of how much defense that affords your team but the dps felt low which is probably just a gear thing.
I'd like to incorporate any team that is made with a monk because they just seem to speed things up significantly with run speed / increased damage / monster pull.
I'm playing 4x crusaders. They can do t4 rifts, but t3 is usually a cakewalk. Strangely they are more fun to play because they move slower and it makes it easier to multibox.
I'm also trying out 4x WD's. Like Ellay said, 1/2 the pets stand around doing nothing. But I did notice if you spec each guy into a different Big Bad Voodoo rune, it stacks. So when I pop it, my sheet dps goes up to like 1.4 mil from like 600k.
The downside to the WD pet build is definitely the fact that all your pets can't reach the mobs. So you get your little voodoo guys blocking your gargantuans that you just popped. But, some mobs will teleport of fear you around, so you're not always safe with the pets blocking you.
The other downside is your need some really specific gear to make the most out of the WD pet build.
The crusaders are a lot of fun. I really just need a few more specific drops. This is a link to my main crusader: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/K.../hero/44419267
That's a pretty well geared crusader :)
I wonder if a monk in the mix would help speed things up any.
I regroup them quite a bit, I've seen some players that can navigate with their characters spread really far apart. I can't operate that way - so I just find a nice nook or wall and push them back together whenever they get spread.
Additionally I have keys F1-F4 that control the mouse for each window, if one drifts too far I can click that one back into the group quickly.
I did try adding a monk as my main for a while, and it was great to have an extra mantra up - crusaders only have 3 total. I remember a post you made a long time ago about stacking classes and the monk auras - which is why I tried it.
So the Monk added unity - 20% damage increase, but I had to use the avoidance aura I think, because conviction doesn't trigger the unity bonus. I also have the skill that makes enemies do 20% less damage on hit.
After they buffed crusaders, I moved them all to crusader. Now that I have a Thunder Fury on this acct, maybe I'll try monk again as the lead with TF. This is my Monk: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/K.../hero/30050343
They're pretty self-explanatory -- Set a Hotkey for them and when you hold it that Slot is the only one that's being focused/controlled.

If you need further assistance with this then you should start a new thread.
So I've leveled up some more monks, and I'm experimenting with Ellay's monk build. So far I like it; and if nothing else, it will get my 'everything monk' geared up quicker. (Pretty much decided that I need a monk in every team at this point, lol.) I was wondering if you have experimented with working in exploding palm/the flesh is weak on one of the monks?
I farm T3-T4 on my crusaders pretty quickly, I also play DH's sometimes. I am trying monks out very shortly and would like more info on your build Ellay. Here are my crusaders profiles.

Actually this is the latest piece I've been working on, since I'm missing out on that extra damage bonus. Basically with increasing cooldown reduction you only need 3 inner sanc's in rotation. (If you ever get to 50% cdr, then you only need 2) which frees up a slot that I plan on placing this for. Most likely the Exploding Palm will go on the Monk that uses Cyclone strike, because it can be the least starved Spirit monk.
It looks like Crusaders are able to handle much higher Torments with ease, jealous about that :)
I toggled further this past week on trying different combinations and I think Monks are still my go to. They don't have the crazy DPS some classes offer but I do enjoy their utility. Hopefully going to flesh them out with better gear and see how far they can go.
with 50% cooldown reduction on 2 monks, you could hypothetically throw in 2 barbs and gain 120% movement speed with a pretty high uptime, combining Chilanks Chain which gives a group movement speed buff of 30-40% along with monks breath of heaven zephyr..
But at a certain point, is that too much speed? :P
Here is my best crusader:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/S.../hero/44419270
This guy got crazy lucky, I have the Fate of the Fell, which gives 3 beams of this kick ass heaven's fury spell (instead of 1). Then I found a shield last night that reduces the cooldown of heavens fury by 50%. So I can pretty much spam it for free, and it's 1680% damage each beam.
2 of my other crusaders use Blades of Prophecy which is also crazy op. I had these in my bank - I didn't even know they were good until last night when everyone was bitching they thought they got nerfed.
Holy jesus, that looks like the most OP thing I've ever seen. I had no idea they had so many yummy aoe options. Well throw a monk in there and boom !
I think... crusader is life - it may be the only option!
Seriously I feel bad for spamming this thread but added Exploding Palm to the monk group and it's super smooth for an extra 20% group dmg.. mmmmm.
I'm tempted by D3...
No subscription fees is a bonus.
I lost interest 1-boxing D3, way quicker than D2.
But boxing looks neat, from the videos people have posted.
Could be a lot of fun.
It's no mmorpg, I think the reason it has decent longevity for me is because of my limited play time being a family man these days.
It is a good ride though :)

Jumped into T1, Wiz has about 700-800k damage on her own - with other buffs it goes up to 1.1mil+ and then there's debuffs too..
The other guys are still gearing mostly, but so far so good.
I used this thread to help decide on builds

you may have different mileage but the corpse spiders on the wd felt very weak to me for some reason. Maybe I just wasn't using it properly. The Acid cloud was good though. the rest looks solid.
