So I have been doing some 80+ AV and IofC with 4 of my 5 shammy team (5th is 85 already and my main). I am hear to tell you chain lightning is full of goodness now at choke points, bridges,near GY flags. I cam mightly close to getting Wrecking ball and have been tracking pretty high in damage and KBs. What is everyone elses experience with the new spells.
On a different note I don't like the new lightning bolt graphics. We might as well draw a line for melee to come ROFLstomp us.
BTW George Lucas called... he wants his Sith Chain Lightning graphics back...
Totaly agree! I did WSG yesterday, and got wrecking ball on my main, and 18 kills zero deaths on my alts :) went oom fast thou
I need to refine my Ele Shammy set up. My cast sequence is jacked up for some reason. Will put flameshock on one target and then later will fire off my Lava Burst... uggh... Gimping my DPS. 2 x 84 and 2 x 83.9+, so tomorrow is Twilight Highlands and PVP as it is my weekend. I picked up the crafted pvp caster relic, neck, 2 x rings, and cloak for my team for the iLevel 377 intro pvp gear for when I hit 85. Will bang out Crucible of Carnage tomorrow for the weapon and then be questing and queing until I hit 85.
How much flak do you think I will get if I randomly queue for BGs with 4 undergeared 85 shammies and one partial ruthless? I don't want to be free HKs to everyone else so I normally duck into IoC or AV. Luckily I have 3 of the 4 shammies capped for honor. So probably grab two resil trinkets each and then save other points for new set pieces next tuesday.

I love my shamans atm, the changes really makes them worth playing again imo. Im currently farming gear and having fun with it.
Earlier today my cute girls got fried by another boxer tho, 10 shamans from Dommhammer... i entered Balinda feeling pretty good, until i 1 sec later saw all my chars on the floor... woot :/ ..oh well, i wont go whining on forums about boxers anyway xD
Well I am up and running at 85. Transferred my one toon to another account and have been getting stomped. Lost 3 Tol Barads, 8 AVs (won 3), and lost 2 IOCs. Yggh. On the plus side the shaman even in quest greens and some crafted PVP gear are doing well. My iLevel went from 312-315 to about 329 with the 5 pieces of crafted gear. I am now sitting around 350 on the four new toons and tonorrow night will probably grind out enough to get into LFR before the reset this week. The shaman are fantastic with the changes.
I do need to get a round robin for my tremor totems. Shadow Priest and Warriors are my bane.
On a different note I ran into several horde boxers in AV. And one of them was from my server. I also bumped heads with Hordekillera-e:Korgath hunter boxer. He gives as good as he gets but I was generally doing more damage. Now if I had permanent elementals (not gonna happen) the hunters would re-roll and/or run from boxxing shammies. I was also in a AV raid with 3+ horde boxers twice. One was a 10 boxer, and then two 5 boxxers. Good to see we are all grinding gear for the weekend.

So I was just doing my thing with pvp and realized something. I should have farmed farmed some justice points on my teams. 4K justice + 4k honor = about 7kish honor through the conversion at the pve vendors. Sorry if this is well known, just realized it today. Its a nice jump on the season when 390 stuff hits.
You should have bought 2 x pvp head enchants and 2 x pvp shoulder enchants aswell :) would have saved you alot of farming next season.Quote:

I keep leaning towards shelving my DK's and gearing up 4x Shamans. I like the idea of a single group that can PvE or PvP equally well, since I'm lazy and don't like maintaining two groups. Melee boxing PvE is generally a nightmare. So, I get all hyped up on the idea of dusting off the Shamans, go run a couple of BG's and remember what it's like to be constantly circle strafed by melee. . .
I guess it's an unfair comparison, since I've played DK's constantly since Cata released and haven't played Shamans at all since mid-Wrath.
Atleast thunderstorm has a snare attached to it now, to give you more casts. IF you want to see something lolzie, use the Glyph of Unleashed Lightning + IWT, and circle cast round the melee, throwing in Fulminations when you can.Quote:

Actually, something I haven't noticed as much yet (because I haven't PvP'd with them much yet), is being at a default disadvantage because I'm Alliance. I imagine the BE racial is still a nightmare to deal with in arena.
