So does ANYONE have a pic/vid of how to get to Garfrost while avoiding 99% of the mobs? I have gotten to him a couple of times by hugging the side of the quarry but it seems to be very perilous to get by the mobs.
Any help welcome

Sajuuk posts his approval.
Pictures never hurt! Pretty sure I got it -- but maybe im doing it wrong and there is a better way.
Well that is what I was thinking, but you have said it takes you about 2 minutes per run, so based on that time I am only just getting to Garfrost in 2 minutes let alone downing him lol
Pretty sure that is a gear thing though.
Well my dps and healer are all geared, I am thinking of gearing my tank this way, yes it will not be as fast as a full geared team but if I can pull 25 - 30 badges an hour plus the gold from vendoring staffs etc it would be a more consistant way to farm badges fast. Based on times per instance posted here, badge faming randoms would be slower, i.e. (for me) 2 dungeons per hour is about as good as it gets with a low geared tank and so max per hour would be 12 badges per hour (I think :P ) , whereas if I can do 5 minute runs for Garfrost I get a guaranteed 12 badges per hour and the more I do this the faster it would get.
to give you an idea, my group is about 4-4400 GS and does garfrost in about 6minutes.
- bypass the 2 groups of caster+little skellies,
- follow the quarry ledge
- skip big Skeleton
- kill first dragon+rider (just stun the rider when he's about 80% hp to avoid sword) - i kill it because for me it was quicker than waiting for his correct pathing position
- skip second skeleton
- skip second dragon (move to the right side when he's near garfrost)
- kill garfrost
- loot and use LFD > PoS again, you'll be in a fresh instance in a second.
No offense, but how long can you keep repeating this before you go mental?
I have an all druid team, so I can stealth up to Forgemaster Garfrost. But even then it takes about 4 minutes a run. I'd love to know how to do it 2 minutes. That would be wicked.
Pulling no ads = 30 seconds to boss and about a minuet and a half for the kill (in mostly raiding gear, no t9)
Me? 3-9 hours depending on if I am out of it or not... if i am super out of it (lack of sleep) i can keep it up till i just fall asleep in my chair lmfao.
Where's Fenril when we need him.
Shodokan, if you could share the trick to getting there - I think many of us would love to know. I tried it a couple times but there were a lot of fights that seem unavoidable. :)
I don't ever farm garfost anymore, I just don't need to and haven't for quite some time now. Plus ICC trash is more profitable.
Step 1: run right and hug that edge when getting into the instance
Step 2: follow said edge and run straight off (skelli to right, pack of mobs to left, and pat going back and forth...if you run at the start the pat won't be near you)
Step 3: head DIRECTLY to the quarry's edge.
Step 4: give the dragon rider about 15 seconds to start pathing back up north and hug the wall, go into the cubby hole to the left and continue to hug the quarry.
Step 5: wait for second dragon rider to pat north and when he is about 4 seconds ahead of you head north behind his tail... the quarry moves left where he continues to go straight ahead
Step 6: continue to follow the quarry to the stairs of garfrost and start the fight.
Congrats, you have successfully reached garfrost with pulling zero mobs.
I play a single mage sometimes and i do this when i get the instance... it pissed people off and amuses me.
does anyone have an idea of what the Cataclysm equivalent of these ideas would be? Or any other gold making ideas for multiboxers? Im trying to find way to make a ton of gold to fund my 25 boxing pve project. I realize i could probably do it with 30 or 40 alchemists but first id need the gold to make that many alchemists. Lol.
