Moral ambiguity aside, I would imagine it is the fastest way to gear out your characters allowing you to skip the sometimes insane tiered gear grind for new characters.
31-0 so far this week. Too bad the match history isn't current yet.
match history shows that he has just won against low equipped teams and lost to every average geared team, gained 1600 points from one team, pretty sure that those 31-0 this week were traded again
Actually he seems to do pretty well against this team:

Ironically, all those guys have their relentless weapons, and have won 1 of 154 so far this season.
It's pretty clear that he's playing all 10 accounts at once and queuing against himself. I made an alt on his server to spy, and sure enough, there's 10 accounts with "Twy" all logged on at once.
Besides being a bit shady, is this illegal, if you happen to own all 10 accounts?
The art of win trading, I call Fat Tire, please explain, lol.
I can't imagine queue against the same team 50 times in a roll without fucking up even once. Last time I check, if you queued and did not enter, you lose points.
Well you would enter on the team that you wanted points for. Other team wouldn't enter. I know win trading was once illegal, but there were some safeguards put in place to make it less effective. I'm curious if it's still legal.
Could also be an exception for multiboxers. If you entered on both teams, and played on both teams (of course making sure the right team won) and weren't trading with another high rated team, perhaps it would be legit. Although a bit shady.
Maybe he just ques really really early in the morning, like 5-6am when most people wouldn't be running 5's because they can't find 5 other people insane enough to be up that early for competitive pvp.
EDIT: Maybe we just need to make a lowbie guy on his server and try some social engineering? Say "oh we think you're so great and you inspire us all, make a video!" and see what he has to say lol.
or maybe he doesn't care and he'll just tell us what his scam is because he just wants the points/gear and doesn't care who knows how he gets it.
Huh? You queued. The queue poped on one of your teams (the one you want pts for). But did not pop on the other of your teams. Leave this queue you lose points. Go in. this is sure not your other team.
I am pretty sure it is illegal. Worst case will result a temporary ban with weapon + armor stripped.
I was from Hakkar before I xferred to Ner'zhul. Biomojo was the first person to start win trading. He got gladiator in Season 1 legitimately, then had a ton of screenshots from talking to GMs asking if what he was doing was okay, and then at the end of the season, they finally stripped him of everything. His record was something insane like around 350 with no losses. What they did was win trade up to where they wouldn't get many points, then disband the other team, recreate it, and get the ratings up on that team to where they could win trade it up again.
The fix they put in place makes it so that it's very unlikely to get the same team in back to back matches. Before the fix, all you had to do was queue at the same time and you'd get the same team.
Unfortunately, it's still pretty easy to do at the right hour. Just find an off hour where very few teams are queueing - on hakkar (vengenance BG), 60 minute queues were easy to find. So what they would do is queue both teams at the same time, and eventually the matchmaking system gives in as it finds no other teams to match you with and gives you the same team.
What he's doing is definitely not legit, as win trading is all about queuing up to play the same team every time, bypassing all the other players in the bracket. I seriously doubt he can go much higher as his other team has got to be close to where he'll get 0 points for them.
We probably just open a can of worms for 10 boxing. Probably just delete this whole thing and pretend it never happened.
Yah. That's what I was trying to say. If you queue at off hours, you can defeat the system.
nvm
nvm
we know it is win trading. we know it is not legit. probably just leave it like that.
nvm
Twyman is a member of the community here and I am sure I have seen hime post before so he is probably checking this thread out too :P
Oh , asking me ? Its the thing they do to cure cancer, stop global warming, and turn water into oil.
In other words, it should not be talked about it.
What blizzard ruled in the negative on was intentionally queing against another team, and basically having a predetermined outcome ie: you and I que, but in vent we know its us and you will let me win the match. Teams were able to rank up against each other in normally offpeak hours and then trade wins to each other in efforts to boost rating, and control top spots.
This is a violation of the arena system, and a good way to lose your arena gear / titles.
