Blackguarde the Warrior and Whiteguarde the Preist. :D
I am not even going to consider trying this kind of thing, they will not allow you to recruit yurself ... And I am going to make sure everything on all 26 accounts is exactly the same.
Why dont you stright up ask the question you need the answer to:
Hi, I own and paid for two completly seperate accounts, can I recruit myself on my 2nd account from my first account.
Q u o t e:
Question #2:
Does the XP gain continue through level 70?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stops at level 60.
/thread over
Per a Blue on the forums you can invite yourself.

Sam -- read the post Mlwhitt linked.
It SPECIFICALLY states that recruit-a-friend'ing yourself, with the purpose of multiboxing, is perfectly fine.

Let's not make hasty assumptions. You may recruit-a-friend on your own accounts -- I mean, you can be a friend to yourself, right? ;)
EDIT: And again....

Not sure where you heard that. You've always been able to recruit-a-friend an additional account under your name. This new feature is no different. Please don't give out misinformation. A blue poster said:Quote:

What I mean is will I still receive the benefits of this offer if I use it to start another account and multibox with it?
You will! That is so long as prescribed leveling requirements are met.
My son says to me today, "Dont you wish you would have waited?" (Recruited myself on Aug, 2) :*[ I'm going to at least ask Blizz if they'll give me a break. Doubtful, I understand, but nothing ventured.....
XP gain stopping at 60 just about halves the usefulness of this. I was sooo excited for a bit there.
Well good news, I stand corrected.
Glad I was wrong lol .... they sure seem to be embracing multi boxing ... Ill be paying for 6 months upfront, what a bonanza!
Woot! 25 or 26 mounts 4 me!
WoW Im signing up at virtually the perfect time.
I setup my 5 accounts just this Saturday Night Aug 2nd 2008 and all my accounts are "linked". However, i did not pay for two months upfront on the linked accounts, so no rewards yet untill that happens.
What I want to know, will I be recieving the xp benefit now? Need to log in and see.
The Zhevra, for those interested...

Triple honor too... I think you will be maxed out with the major factions by like level 30. I wonder if the triple honor counts for the bc factions? Getting exalted with all old school factions has never been easier. Does triple honor last til 70, or I guess it would stop with the exp gain at 60? I think you can get into Slab at 59, I guess you would ding before you would get any great amount of faction from the triple exp.
So let's say you have 5 accounts. 1 main account with assorted level 70's and 4 "alt" accounts with let's say 1 lvl 70 shaman each.
1. Transfer the shamans off the 4 alt accounts to the main account. 4 x 15,- (dollar, pound, euro, whatever)
2. Cancel 4 alt accounts.
3. Invite yourself 4 times.
4. Get 4 new battlechests. 4 x 30,-ish
5. Activate the 4 trials and get 4 free months on the main account in the process. Plus 4 Zhevra mounts. Joy.
6. Transfer back the 4 shamans to the 4 new accounts. 4 x 15,-
Now you have the ability to lvl as many new 5-man teams with triple xp as you can manage in 90 days. Plus 2 free level 60's on the main account per team you level to 61.
Is this correct? Very VERY tempting. Bit pricey though.
So what's the optimal way to take advantage of this?
3 new accounts?
Old1 -> New1
Old1 -> New2
Old2 -> New3
Create a new team on Old1 Old2 New1 New2 New3 and all five characters get triple experience.
I'm also curious to see playtimes and if this comes anywhere close to the speed of just boosting in instances. I'm guessing it'll be somewhat close, and I'd guess boosting may still be a little faster even with the leaving instance and zolo nerfs.
Other than the mounts on Old1 and Old2, you'd also get a free level 60 character on Old1 (30 levels from New1, 30 from New2) and 30 levels on Old2.
Edit: I also think it's worth noting that since all the bonuses only apply up to level 60, you can probably get away with just buying a $9.99 copy of Classic WoW and transferring the new characters to your main 5 accounts when they ding 60.
Amazon is selling BattleChest for $29.99, with FREE shipping:

Just ordered my last 4 so I have 1 now and 25 on order!
Oh its already been posted.
Well lots to read.
Let me see if I got this right, you DONT want to invite everyone from one account cause then you only get ONE mount.
You need to round robin like listed:
1 invites 2 who invites 3 who invites 4 etc.
So Ill get 25 mounts (the last account dosnt get one), that way.
For triple exp I could have a group 1,2,3,4,5 and all get it then 6,7,8,9,10 also all get it? with the round robin invite method. So any 5 consecutive would all 5 get the bonus exp.
Humm they may as just as well start you at 60 lol ...
I think the best way to take advantage of this, if you want the mounts for all of your accounts at the same time then dothe following
A reqruits B
B reqruits C
etc etc...
Also, just posted by a blue....
"Again, mounts are not restricted by faction, as the selection process works sort of like TCG cards (that is, you're able to select any character on any realm on the veteran account). "
Don't think it works like that does it? Unless you wait 90 days between each invite.Quote:

Oh, an idea.
Anyone want to roll in The Underbog US -- I have a 70 prot paladin to boost ya from level 10 to 55 provided you let me Recruit-A-Friend your at least one of your toons for the Zhevra mount. :)
That's what I'm thinking. Not sure :)Quote:

In your example B would be linked to both A and C and I don't think that will work. A can be linked to B, C, D and E though. That has been confirmed.
But maybe I'm wrong.
One thing we are probably all wanting to know is how the veteren account is going to to use/bank the free levels.

Q u o t e:
Alot of people (myself included) are looking for confirmation on how the "gift levels" are used.
Do you get a bank of them? Do they stack? Do they have to be used immediately? 1-60 would give 30 gift levels, are you allowed to save them and then use em on a character who is lower level but higher than when the character was created?
I'm still having this confirmed. I'm not ignoring those questions. :)

Alright. On the level gifting front!
Recruit-A-Friend trial characters (continuing even after upgraded) will receive 1 free level for every 2 levels gained up until 70. This means, a "trial" character may successfully give away 35 levels. These levels may be stored up to 90 days, when the Recruit-A-Friend benefits expire.
With this, you may give all 35 levels away at once—all to one character, or to multiple different characters. A character may receive gifted levels up to level 60.
Hope that helps. :)
Does the recruited account gain the triple xp as soon as its created and can you give out the gift levels while in 'trail' status (ie. you havent paid anything yet, just used the recruit key)?
Would it then be quicker to recruit trail accounts, level them up using the triple xp then gift the levels to characters on old account(s) that don't have the triple xp?
Going to want to save those for the higher levels then I imagineQuote:

That means you could have 4 characters on the main account at lvl 1 and instantly get them to lvl 35 if you had 5 accounts and leveled them all at the same time and banked the levels. So not only are you leveling 3x faster to 60 than everyone, you also get 4 free lvl 35's.............AWESOME!Quote:

It's easier to level from 1-10... Does that mean I can make 9 level 10's and 1 level 70 on each "refer a friend" account and gift 45 + 35 levels? ;)
*evil grin*
Prolly wouldn't work unless I was gifting levels to characters < level 10.
almost want to buy some more accounts now!
Yeah, the target of the gifted level has to be lower than the source. So if you level 9 alts to level 10, you can't get free levels past 10.Quote:

Best use would be to use those levels for the the 50-60 (or 25-60, if you use them all for one alt).
I'm curious as to the interface. Is it something the friend has to do? Is it a credit the referer gets to use as they please?
Scenario 1Quote:

Account #1: 70 Paladin, 53 Shaman.
Account #1 recruits Account #2.
Account #1 & #2 levels new toons from 1 to 14.
Accoutn #1 now has a banked 7 level-up gifts, and can apply that gift to Account #1, 53 Shaman to 60?
Sweet?!
Scenario 2
Account #1: 70 Booster + various alts.
Account #1 recruits Account #2.
Account #1: Level 1 TwinkGear with tradeable enchant items +pants, +spell Damage, Run Speed, and +Health/Spirit
Account #1 & #2 levels new toons from 1 to 20 in 2 hours.
Account #1 now has banked 10 level ups and gives it to a Level Up toon.
Account #1 & #2 deletes their lowbies levels up 2 more new toons from 1 to 20 in 2 hours.
Does Account #1 get to bank another 10 Level Up Gifts?
So his Level 70 can grant this to the Level Up Toon.
In theory, he can level up 1 to 60 in about 12 hours from Level Up Gifts?
I will be doing this at least with 1 account. I bought a whole battlechest for my 5th account, but I only needed TBC, so I have a spare cd key and some game cards that are just sitting here. I guess I will just level at least 2 toons, one on each account, and get a mount on my main account, along with 35 free levels (got a lvl 28 paladin and a lvl 19 warrior that sound like good candidates for free exp. I also always wanted a druid tank, so I will level up a druid on my main account with triple xp, and something else on my 6th account, and just xfer that toon off of that account after the 3 months game time is up.
I wish I hadn't started yet... I'd love to have 5 zhevra mounts, and 5x triple xp....
Imagine if the triple xp worked with Zolo (pre nerf). I could have gotten toons from lvl 35 to lvl 58 in like 3.5 hours lol Now THAT would be a cool leveling record.
No. The target of the free levels must be lower level than the source. If you level up to 14, you can give 7 levels to a character up to level 13. Once they hit 14 they are no longer eligible for free levels (till you level up.)Quote:

I think they f'uped the launch of this. Me and others in the wow forums had linked accounts from acct mgmt earlier today and now they arent linked. Also, there is no way to summon yet that I see and no in game icon or notice that one is getting the extra xp. The xp I was getting 20 min ago didnt seem triple the amount.
You can see my post in the forums asking about this.

So if you ever wanted to reroll, now is the time. Very interesting.
I am very temped to stray to a new server or make a new team suddenly.
So, the Account #1 lowbie will be the one who gains Level-Up Gifts?Quote:

also: "As listed, there's one caveat to the gifted levels: The (trial) character cannot grant a level to a (veteran) character equal to or higher than their own level. In order for your level 51 (n) shaman to receive a free level, the trial character must be at least 52 (n + 1). Provided levels cease at 60"
It looks like Syndri rescinded this one -- you stop earning levels to gift to your referrer at 70, not 60.Quote:

Although, I believe you lose the XP bonus at 60 or 90 days (whichever comes first), so depending on how quickly you level, it may be more worthwhile to level a bunch of characters up to level 59 first.

Account 1: 70 Pally, 53 Shaman.
Account 2: is recruited by Account 1.
Account 2 is boosted by 70 in Account 1, not worrying about 3x xp.
When Account 2 hit 60, he can gift +7 levels to Account 1: 53 Shaman all the way to level 60.
Account 2 has 30 Level-Up Gifts. Used 7 so far.
Now Account 1 & 2 can level together from 60 to 63 @ 3x xp. Woot!
Account 1 & 2 now have level 63s.
Account 2 at level 63 can get 3x xp grouping with the level 70 of Account 1 because all 63+ mobs will not be gray.
When Account #2 hits 70, he can gift +7 to Account 1's shaman to level 70?
