5x Shaman teams, how do you use your Totem of Wrath?

Fursphere, I think your running 4 shammys if I remember right, is there a reason you don't drop all 4 tow on the initial pull? What benefit is the flame tongue giving you, I assume your dropping that for your tank? Is it that helpful? And, what will you replace it with in wotlk?

World PvE, I rarely drop ToW.. usually just stick to magma since I tend to pull large groups to my pally.
Instance PvE, I use ToW / LB / Chain Lightning on elites, and Magma on non-elites.
World PvP, I drop ToW, then fire ranged LB (or Chain Lit if more than 1), then frost shock.. if enemies charge, I'll drop down Fire Novas and Earthbinds. A 70 druid tried to battle off his wraths on my pally while eating 4x ToW'd LBs.. and he didn't last as long as my pally even though he had twice the hp.

ToW is very helpful for countering the resiliance of those welfare epic'd 70's if they stay ranged enough for you to LB/CL them down.

while my girls are only 36 I plan on dropping all 5 ToW's whenever i can (aka every mob that is not immune to nature damage or if it's a big pack that needs to be aoe'd --> magma) 5 toW is 15% spellcrit, add the 5% normal talent from that and your at 20% with talents alone from elemental tree, later on another 5% if you go 41/0/20 so your at 25% ungeared. I cannot comment on heroics though (although i imagine trash dies bedore reaching you if you got the gear and don't go in with lv 64 green's/blue's) but the more crit the more damage, which is better for well everything (but aggro :D)

In world PvE, you don't really need to. One volley of Chain Lightning basically eliminates most mobs of a group anyway. In instances, yes, it makes all pulls incredibly quick.

5 ToW and 1 WoA, stoneclaws, and healing streams. DPS!!!! The only sounds I hear are casting of lightning bolt and clearcasting nonstop!

well i rarely drop totems in world pve tbh :D only when it's an elite mob (which is rare these days in the old world)

I use 5x ToW most of the time; me critting > any non-nova totem anyday. However, depending on the pulls, I might drop Searing or Magma; it's situation dependant, particularly vs Runners I'll use Searing, and in large pulls that Chain Lightning won't fully handle(ST whelps for example) I'll use Nova then Magma if I need to; I rarely use Magma though.
