Note that you asked about lag, the only lag I suffered was from the 2nd PC being a pile of crap at the time, but I don't see any with the 2 I use atm, the crap PC is now the 3rd I mentioned, and lags a tiny bit, but not huge ammounts, it's more WoW than the commands.

Just get something fairly decent (or a decent brand like Logitech) and you should be fine :)

Also, the 3 receivers I have, 2 are identical and USB (mouse and KB, one USB plug) the 3d receiver is PS2 mouse and USB KB to a PS2 adapter, and they still work just fine.

I'm setting up the next group using 5, 3toons on 1 PC, 1toon on each of the other 2 PCs :)

Some great feedback here. Love the fact that there are so many people (or at least 'some') that enjoy multi-boxing.

If I get to where I'm comfortable with 2, then I'll go to 4. I've got enough computing power to do 4 now.
If I mixed Mac and WINtel equipment (depending on KVM's/software), I would do more than 4.

Anyway, I dont' want to hijack the thread... but the feedback is great and the community seems to have answers and not just a bunch of folks asking questions.

Just changing the subject slightly, does anyone know if its possible to use a bluetooth rather than RF keyboard? Will it 'pair' to 2 different receivers in the same way an RF will?

Im in the process of setting up a dual box at the moment and i've got a Logitech diNovo Edge Keyboard and would like to keep it rather than replacing for a RF wireless.

When resetting the frequency, which unit do you click first? Keyboard or reciever?

Clicking the keyboard first is a bad sign, but only way to know for sure is to try.

I don't think so given the somewhat limited amount I know about how BT works. RF blasts it out. BT pairs up.

Decided to follow your advice and get 2 Logitech RF keyboard and mice. Works really well and now have 2 level 12 shamen with no 3rd party programs or scripting needed at all.

Does anyone know if the Logitech EX 90 wireless keyboard is usefull for multiboxing? I take it it uses the same method of linking up with its receiver as the EX 110, just want to make sure. Would be kinda disappointing if I bought 5 of them and then they use some sort of new-fangled unique identification system so that I can not sync them all to one keyboard. :)

While the Logitech Cordless Internet Pro (Y-RK56A) does work in this manner, I used them for a while in City of Heroes, it will only record three (or four) key presses at once, so CTRL+ALT+Delete works, but playing games doesn't always (useless for CS:S).

Recently trying to find which drivers to use Logitech told me the board (comes with mouse and reciever) is an OEM product so may be offered as cheap logitech. Might be wise to be wary of this.

Saw in another thread someone mentioned I think a Kensington wireless number pad for a laptop, forget which thread ATM. Essentially just the number pad linked wirelessly... I'd be interested in getting two of these, if they worked.

I bought 3 Microsoft RF keyboard + mice from Best Buy.
Works pretty good on my macs, but I'm going over to a wired setup.

why not just use software? what happens when you want to stop broadcasting.. or send keys to a specific client?

seems like a really limiting option and costs more than many sub-$10 or free software options.
