I currently have a group of lvl 52 Pally, Mage, Boomkin druid, Shaman dps, Priest healer
I eventually plan on having the shaman heal and priest go shadow but for now its working out just great. ever since i got lightning overload and totem of wrath my groups dps has shot up, the shaman almost always is number 1 dps, the mage a close 2nd, and the druid not to far behind. i did a few bosses in BRD this morning and its runnin smooth.
i personally went with Boomkin instead of warlock because of the crit bonus from moonkin aura, and also MOTW/Thorns is nice to have on the tank (and the rest of the group) innervate i usually keep for the druid since she runs out of mana faster than the mage and shaman, but thats mostly because her gear isn't as good yet. i really see this group having potential in pve later on in heroics though, and really like the priest healer vs shaman healer because of shield/renew, circle of healing is awesome too.

So would a holy priest and a boomkin with the 5% aura and an ele shammy with wrath and various other totems out dps a warlock with a spriest and shammy healing?
I'm not sure, might try it out on maxdps later to be sure.

K, I did the stats on maxdps.com and here is what I got. I put 1k damage on all, and 100 hit rating.
Group 1 - Shammy healer, pally, warlcok, spriest, mage.
Class - DPS
Spriest - 860
Lock - 1332
Mage - 1055
TOTAL DPS - 3,246
(But maxdps didn't factor in ISB from the lock, so that would add a few dps. The pet would do some more dps in lower level instances as well.)
Pros: Healthstones, soulstones, misery, shadow weaving, constant mana + health return from spriest, pet from lock, chain heal, earth shield. (any others?)
Cons: Not alot of burst dps, less buffs, no moonkin aura. (any others?)
Group 2 - Priest Heal, pally, boomkin, mage, ele shammy.
Class - DPS
Mage - 1,056
Boomkin - 933
Shammy - 1,278
TOTAL DPS - 3,267
Pros: Totem of Wrath, Grace of air, thorns, MoTW, Moonkin Aura, druid can off heal if needed, lots of HoTs, treants, b rez, CL, Innervate. (any others?)
Cons: Priest healing would be harder, no SS, no chain heal. (any others?)
Pretty similar.
Can't decide yet :S

i can't figure out how to use treants since my druid is one of my windows that i use in the background behind my main wow (its like 400X200 with maximizer, so it doesn't effect my fps at all) so any spell that requires aiming, like hurricane/blizzard/flamestrike/treants i can't use, unless i cilck that window and aim it. is there a way to force click with keyclone? i haven't messed with it much so i dont know what all it can and can't do.

Ah I forgot you had to target with the treants, nvm then.

I have the pally, priest, mage and shaman leveling up to join my main (70 lock).
Right now, they are just being boosted so limited real world experience. As much as I want the priest to be shadow specced, I think she'll end up staying Holy. I think in higher end instances I'll end up wanting/needing the best healer (which the priest remains). Shammie won't be a slouch in the DPS department and as you've mentioned has some totems that will help the party.
I'll be following this thread too. :)

Considering making a Pally, Priest, Shaman, Druid, Mage team myself. But I want a Warlock in there. But I can think of two reasons why not to, Druid has a bit more versatility, and since it'd be a PVE team it'd be nice to have a use for all the leather drops.
I'd replace the mage with the warlock... but ports/water is too good to pass up methinks.

i have a lvl 61 warlock, and see no point in lvling her. before the xpack i had 8 lvl 60's on 2 accounts and my warlock was only lvl 56, i got so bored lvling her i never bothered till recently a friend hit 56 and i joined him for a few lvl's and got bored again. they just put me to sleep dot dot dot fear dot dot dot. sure they may be great for MB'ers but playing them solo is snorezville. and i intend to play every one of my characters solo at some point, because i dont raid with more than 2 chars at a time (any instance thats 10+ people is a raid imo) i'd like to get the lock to 70 just for 2v2's as you can pretty much have any partner and do well in 2's bracket with a lock it seems..
but pve i like my mage, even though she is losing lately in the dps meters. i just respec'd her to full Fire last night to see if that would help but mobs in BRD just die too fast for her improved scorch, and fireball takes too long to cast, so i may be goign full frost instead. or a full arcane/icey veins mix. either way, i need to figure something out, back at lvl 45 she was number 1 dps but now the shaman and druid are beating her.
