So a really solid mac, but still just dual core with 4GB of ram...
I'll definitely have to give OSx86 a try when I'm back in the states and see if I can't get my quad core phenom running OSX :)... it's ironic that in the end I'll possibly be running Mac OS on PC Hardware emulating Windows and getting better performance... I'll definitely let you know how this plays out!
Well, the Mac hardware requirements are a bit high. I do have a Dell XPS M1730 with a 2.4Ghz processor and 4GB RAM which I use with Windows Vista, and Octopus to run five WoW instances. It's actually running quicker, but I guess it might be the nvidia card that runs better with WoW that the ATI card does. i have actually had some issues in terms of low FPS with ATI graphics cards on both Mac and PC.Quote:

Okies - I really do need to do more tinkering. 2.2 Ghz C2D , 4GB RAM and a 128GB 8600MGT should be able to handle a bit more than 2. :) Either that or the lesser Ghz, slower hd and smaller GCard really do make a huge difference.
Seriously? On an iMac? 5 copies?Quote:

I've been saving for a new Xeon tower, but I'd rather get an iMac for space issues! I figured an iMac would do 3 fine, but 5? You don't have any overheating issues?
I'm gonna have to start pricing out iMacs!
