A few of us have been talking about MBing deathknights. Does this mean that MBing TAUREN Death Knights will be better than other races? I was going to make Taruen anyway since Tauren DKs make some people angry.
I'm planning on making a Orc DK main and my Follower DKs Tauren. I switched my orc warrior as my main this morning and have been grinding all morning setting up my macros for my new group and I must say, it's sooooo much nicer :) The run through method worked probably like 70-80% of the time when they were all orc, but now with tauren followers its like 97% of the time:) Also makes it loads easier trying to get them all facing the correct direction for cleave which has been thus far the only real PITA I've encountered using a melee warrior team, even then I can still get it done.Quote:

Edit: The pull and back up method is also tons easier as you can just shoot with the main(orc in my case) and back up to about 1-2 yds infront of the tauren and they can all easily hit the target.
Wow I didn't even think to try it but I just realized that the 9 yd melee swing is actually large enough that I can actually just run up to a mob, not even back up and the tauren will start swinging :) If only it was like this with every race...
This is good to know. I was boxing a UD rogue and a Tauren hunter, and when in mele range, the hunter always engaged but the rogue was too far. My first thought it was 2h v 1h, but this makes more sense.
I looked for any kind of info that might suggest that weapon length may affect melee range but I have not seen a single piece of evidence. Furthermore one of my Tauren warriors has Morgraine's might and the other is dual-wielding. As far as I can tell it's the exact same melee range with both.Quote:

Edit: Male or Female doesn't seem to affect anything either.
Having a 70 tauren enhancement shaman, I definitely noticed this in raids. I can get out of mob whirlwind range in a snap.
Glad I made 1 pally + 4 tauren shaman, even if the tauren starting zone is 80% collection quests. Also noticed this when I used a tauren as a main, and pally as follow. Pally couldn't reach.
I'd just like to double check. Is this still the case? The melee abilities on my tauren warriors don't actually say a range on them. Did they change this?
This has been the case since WoW was released - the bigger the race the longer their melee range - its just how it works, because your model box is a lot larger so the "start" range of your weapon is further out.
Actually while Tauren still have a longer melee range on their swing, I noticed the last time I jumped on my warrior team that the Tauren seem to have a longer follow range now so that you get no extra advantage while Multiboxing them as your followers :( You might as well just multibox whatever race you like now for melee classes.Quote:
