Xp per minute is a lot higher with this method, however I would much rather run the instance a couple times all the way through and get the loot.

This method isnt about getting gear or loot. its for players who have 70s and just want more lvl 70s and dont want to spend time lvling.
You can get 200gold a day with dailies. With this method you dont need gear until lvl 55, then you just buy him some lvl 60 dungeon set blues untill lvl 57 then buy outlands greens. Pop a few enchants on him and your as geared as most lvl 57 noobs.
lol... I'd never seen those videos before, nor heard of the method, but I love the related Athene Rant. Absolutely hilarious.
And, yeah, I have no shame in saying that I'd like somebody to lead me by the nose to level 70 like that :)
Yes. there was a false rumour about an instance /played time bug on mmo-champion where several things were claimed but never prooved:
Entering and leaving an instances, leaving and entering groups while in instances and plenty of resetting instances gave you a /played bug where your played time either stood still or started to decrease. It was a lie.
Also people claimed that being in an instance stopped world of warcraft from calculating your /played time until you exited the instance again...this is so honestly stupid..i mean wtf.
Sadly enough, many noobs jsut read the first few posts of that argument and did not bother to read the rest where some of the most ridiculous things were said and claimed.
I can assure you, these are all false claims and that the /played phenomenon was purely because of this leveling method, no bugs, no photoshop and so on.
Picture this.
A lvl 25 lowbie getting FULL xp for ALL the mobs in SM cathedral (lvl 7-41 ELITES).
When we did it, my friend was getting 400-670 xp per kill @ lvl 25 in SM cath (unrested). That is 400-670X say 120 mobs. That is +- 13750 xp. Easily 25-40% of his lvl.
As for the other speed leveling method used in outlands, the person was getting +-10k xp a kill. Now that is a different story that I also know how to do :D
whats the technique used in outlands?
Heh thats the secret isn't it? :D
Sure alot of people know the Azeroth and Easter Kingdoms speed leveling technique but when it comes to outlands...you can't exactly AOE the whole of Auchenai Crypts or even Hellfire Ramperts can you.
In outlands everything is green to a 70 once the mob is 62+. From there on its a simple game of kick the high level, tag the mob and have the high level kill it for you then reinvite. You can do this for an entire instance easily. The lowbie gets full xp and you don't run into the instance cap that you run into in old world due to clearing too fast either.
Personally, I think that leveling speeds up dramatically once you hit outlands.
I'm a sad panda. They seemed to have nerfed the speed leveling with 2.4.2 :(
No more fast lvling up alts
That was of course expected. Surely you must understand that you're not supposed to finish the first part of the game(pre-TBC) in that short amount of time :)Quote:

Yeah but I think many of us were hoping Blizzard would leave it in until WotLK, they are always trying to make it easier to prepare for the next xpac (season1 gear -soon season2 honor gear), increased 20-60 leveling time and so on. So we were hoping blizzard would just try to cover it up a bit but leave it there unless it got comepletely out of hand.
