Really impresssed with Boomkin DPS

Bottom line - it's hard to tell what's going on, especially since gear for Boomkin is really hard to come by. Saying they have equal gear is hard to gauge, at least to me, anyway. Of course, I've not compared the specs on Bal druids and Ele shaman enough to determine who ought to have what stats.

Took me about 15 minutes to work up a list of planned gear that'll get me to around 750-800 all leather Spelldmg within 2 days or so of hitting 70. Not that hard to find imo, can post if you are interested.

Also, mana shield is just about the best mana regen tool in the game, even without getting hit.... Better than Blessing of wisdom by a long shot... I rarely need to drink on the shammies, even in instances (or once every 4 or 5 pulls or so).

I guess going around with 3x totems of wrath with her in instances is also helping a lot.

Nature's grace is a flat 0.5 sec faster cast on the next spell, not a Haste effect of any kind, does not affect GCD.

Boomkins when played right can indeed put out some major dps + offtank if a healer is prepared for it...even in my gear(armory me if you want, name/server is in sig :P) I out-threat Tier frickin 6 MTs if I try hard enough; let alone the T4/early SSC tanks we had in DA, and any pug I run I'm usually the tank ;p Though with my cloth pieces I'm sitting around 10-11k armor, I have the Armor/Spelldmg ring off Lurker, the Mechanar 300+armor cloak, a couple Leather switchouts + Badge of Tenacity trinket if I ever KNOW I'm gonna be tanking to push my armor up to 15k+; I MT'd both phases of Attumen(With Salv on and despite waiting to DPS; the MT just couldn't keep up and the OT was a retard with a 2h pvp mace lol) in my Cloth pieces once and lived too :p

It just takes time to learn how they can do the things similarly to other roles, but do them VERY differently from those roles.

I'll tell ya one thing though, once you pass 950-1k spelldmg, focus a little less on Crit and start whoring the dmg + hit out; ESPECIALLY if you don't have Mag Eye trinket to make up for Resists.(And if you CAN get Mag Eye, do it, it is hands down THE best boomkin dps-boosting trinket in the game with around 83% hit; someone at elitistjerks did a trinket comparison test and with enough hit rating total counting your 4% talent it gave a huuuuge boost to dps...less hit = much lower boost because TOO many are being resisted but still noticeable)

im finding at the moment that my moonkin is not putting as much dps out as my shamans, however its not going out of mana as quickly as my shamans, i cant believe with clearcasting and water shield how quickly they can run out of mana and thats without using innervates.
Im really enjoying the combo tho, moonkin OT utility is awsome, im glad i chose it over a 5th shaman, more crit, MOTW and cyclone, vs another set of totems is a much better choice.
