Thanks for the replies, I fully understand no one can tell me what I can do to have fun. :)
My question what drives YOU to keep playing? It appears to be the challenge of getting your teams to higher Mythic+ levels? But I have mostly ilevel 900ish gear already on my favorite teams, so the Mythics dont really have any rewards other than being able to say I cleared it, no?
World quests and the like are ok since they are outside and really easy to do with a team mostly.
I could go for a full 10 man team and start raiding... :)

I tend to be one of the type that ends up trying to do things that people normally either don't bother with or don't even contemplate. Like trying to get to some new spot to take a screen capture (before they enable flight). I also tend to be a completionist with regards to certain quest types, in particular the lore chains. I'm also a big fan of malformed group specs/setups. "You CANNOT clear instances with only holy paladins." Done. "You cannot clear instances with all caster squishies." Done. "You cannot farm that boss." Done. "Nobody survives pulling that entire shelf of the Black Temple." Done. (Side note: "What is this encumbrance of which you speak?" lol) Most of it is silly, and progression guilds and PVP heroes scoff at the waste of effort. But I have fun doing it off and on, so /shrug.
That said, I've been on break from WoW for several months, so I haven't kept up with what's new. I and my friends tend to unsub for 6-9 months and resub again until we get mostly through an expansion, then rinse, repeat. We played pretty regularly for the first 10 years, but none of us have as much spare time these days.

Multiboxing for me is generally three things:
Boxing leveling dungeons
Farming stuff at max level that takes too long alone (panda island reputation for example)
Access to more toons for gold making cooldowns
I seldom:
multibox raiding or end game dungeons (sometimes healer + 1 dps)
pvp
