I get just over a second for the 1st transition each session then well below 1 sec for subsequent PiP swaps.
I have an Athlon X2 4600+ 2.8gb Ram (bloody mobo) and a Radeon X1950XT it ain't exactly cutting edge ;)
off this I run the following sessions
1x 1520x1200
4x 380x300
on a 24" LCD

How do you set up your WoW installations? I wonder if its my resolution that slows things up.
-
Gallo, do you use multiple monitors or just one? I use two monitors and my swaps or horrible, though it doesn't bug me too much, I only use it when writing macros.
-
My swaps seem to vary. Some times they are < 1 second sometimes 10 seconds. I use a Q6600, 4 GB ram and dual 8800GTs (not SLId) on Vista 64. If you want to add any logging to KeyClone I could comment the bad swaps in the log file if it helps?

OK I did some testing last night.
System. Athon X2 4600+
4Gb Ram (stupid motherboard allows 2.8Gb)
Radeon X1950XT (512Mb) - 24" monitor 1920x1200
Radeon HD2400 Pro - 19" CRT + 17" LCD
I have my WoWs all running on the 24" in the following setup 1x 1520x1200 on the left and 4x 380x200 stacked vertically on the right.
I am running Keyclone 1.8e because 1.8f seems to shift around the hotkey for instances and my macro for leader ends up not being the focused instance.

So when I first swap 1 & 2 it take about 1 - 2 seconds. Swapping back takes ~ 0.2 secs
After the warm up phase (i do a full sequence swap as it does seem to cache something
Swapping 1 - any = 0.2 secs
Swapping 2 - 3 takes ~0.8 secs, is the time to swap any of the small windows with another small window
I think this is due to the background sorting of windows as swapping 2 and 3 will have to swap 2 and 1 as well so that 1 ends up in the 3 position.

hmph... well, about 2 weeks ago i was implementing a new feature and came across some weirdness. since then, i have been doing a bug crawl.
the weirdness was around the mouse-map and maximizer configuration. i have shaken out a few.. and the maximizer editor works 100% better.. i still have to figure out the weirdness around mouse-map. (seems that when wow is being clicked on, i don't always get the button events... thanks microsoft)
i also added a couple of nice-to-haves i think you'll enjoy. if you find anything you think needs to be changed, please drop it on me. currently, i am NOT going to change the order of the pip swap... although i will be changing how (largest moves first)
any delay on pip swap is strictly a wow issue. other then lightening the load on the graphics card by resizing the big size, i don't have much more i can do
thanks for the info,
Rob

BTW I am back on 1.8f on Vista 64 and the probs I had on XP 32 have disappeared... was there a secret fix or is it just an issue with my XP?
weird... just thought I would share :)
BTW even faster PiP swaps now... max 0.1 secs I reckon... first time shows a small 380x300 window in the top left corner before it is resized but subsequent swaps are to fast to notice
