I had 4x Crusaders in S1 and now trying 4x Barbarians in S2. So far I'm liking it - stacking shouts, great mobility, relatively easy to sync positions (charge to a wall) and awesome damage.
Crusaders worked great - very easy to manage, excellent survivability, great damage output and with proper round-robin skill rotation they're certainly viable option for multiboxing.
Hard some subpar experience with 4x Monks - very hard to keep em in sync.
Completely disapponted by 4x WD (zoomancer build, full Zuni set on all 4) - they're just _SLOW_.
Didn't try wizard or DH - they're squishy and due to desync it might be hard to keep em alive.
I'm interested in Barbs. Can you please share your build? I'm sure trash dies very fast, but what about the RG? How high have u gone in GR?
Not far at all - GR10, started this weekend. Just comparing to my 4x Crusader experience.
Using typical Charge - Battering Ram build with some support skills just because I don't have gear yet. I thought it will be hard to manage 4x Barbs with Charge, but it turned out to be not that hard. Plus, if my target is a mob, Charge brings all characters together.
What I liked about Barbs vs Crusaders - mobility. With Crusaders I had to stop in order to kill something, with barbarians I'm just running through.
RG question - I have Frenzy as a main and Hammer of the Ancients as spender. So far - no problems. Once I get gear, will get rid of Hammer in favor of something else.
OK, status update on 4x barbarian.
As I expected, it is pain in the ... to manage barbarians with furious charge without cooldown. Crusader was mostly worry-free experience (they always moved in pack), with barbs it is no longer the case.
It is quite possible I will be able to figure out some slower build with some decent AoE (a-la Condemn or Steed Charge), but decided to try Monks for now.
On other hand, rest of the skills (damage boost, shout synergy, etc) is great.
Sad to hear that. I knew that was the case but since your previous post looked very promising, I was expecting to try them later on.
Well, it was fun to play barbs until I started getting gear and charge can be used more often.
Problem with charge - if there's mob under cursor, character will charge to the mob and stop in front of him instead of charging all way to the pointer under cursor. This breaks formation and makes it hard to play with barbs especially in elite fights.
Anyway, trying 4x monk now and so far so good.
