I just did the default settings. I think it picked 2 cores for each. The most important change for me because I was initially experiencing low frames was dropping down the settings on the non main characters to as low as possible (yes it looks horrible, but I never see it). Then setting the non main screen to max at 15 frames. My main was able to jump up to 45-60 FPS steady with high settings on.
You have the game fully downloaded right? I know when I first came back it would never finish and keep resetting so one night I just let it run while I slept.
make sure to check that sound is completely off on the additional slots. Turn off soe mote and voice chat as well.
otherwise I'm not sure but it was choppy for me until I adjusted in game settings.
Turn off shadows when boxing. That one setting doubled my frame rate.
i turn everthing off on my alts.. but sound has no option that i can see to disable it? I can only turn it down i thought
Yep only turn it down. Just to be safe I turned everything down.
Another thing that helped, i turned OFF all the alternate appearances on my followers.. helped a TON!
To my understanding RAM is the biggest factor in how many you can box on one computer. It is one game per 2gb without issue. Read that on the isoboxer site and noticed that it held true with my rig.
