At what point do you leave AV?

Once I have full honor level gearing in a given season...
I consider running non-AVs.

But AV is still the most fun, so even with full Conquest for a season I play AV the most.
When <The Zerg> want to do IoC 'Turtle Domination', that can be good too.

Eye of the Storm (once honor geared) has to be my highest win percentage battleground, if you don't include premades.
Premade IoC with boxers or premade AV with Rath Strat is an extremely high win percentage.

WSG is likely the best 10-man, once honor geared.
Play on their half of middle.
Farm kills.
But watch for their flag carrier, and intercept as they'll be coming to you.
Make returning the flag a total priority and then go back to farming anything that comes near you.
If your team returns even one flag, you win... otherwise it's a draw.

AB, once honor geared is close to 50/50.
I do best by going to and taking Blacksmith, holding it until it caps.
Then use Path of Frost and smash (recap so you have possession, but don't guard) both Farm and Stables.
Then return to Blacksmith.
You're rather dependent on your teammates for this one, which can suck.
I'm curious how AB would go with three boxers, each at a node.

the powerball one has been fun this weekend. My team has a full blue S12 set now from honor. I run HPriest, HPally, 3Frost DK. I have won most of the powerballs. When getting a quick lead, the other team has been given up pretty fast.

am finding it mega hard to get one win a day normally i get my 100 conquest in the end off luck. but all the bg's i suck in.

to be fair the one i won today was SOTA (that i hate a lot) somehow all my team and there team got suck at a gate fighting each over and trying to "run" into a closed gate? was thinking maybe its bots! but the blue posts says there no bots in wow bg's so i put it down to cats trying to play wow. And moved on slowly

so i went though the other gate and not one player tried to stop me that i was thinking was odd but again its got to be the cats oh yes the cats walking over the keyboard.

then again the 2nd round not one player jumped into a tank to take a gate down they ran to the same stop and started to try running though the closed gate...... in the end someone did get in a tank and started takeing down gates that was not to hard to kill with 5 hunters.

Oh in that case. At what point did I go into 10 man BGs (I did 15s way undergeared but whatever)....

On my DK's, I had 2x Malevolent + 1x Dreadful set pieces, trinkets, rings, cloak, and neck before I'd try that out. I only did it a little and then got my Malevolent 2H weapon. At the moment I'm 3x malevolent, all other dreadful, and 1/2 upgraded weapon and I do any BG I want, preferring 10-15 mans. YMMV based on your comp.

On my Shaman I started doing 10-15 once I had PVP something in every slot (no quest gear). They still suck horribly as elemental and 4x healers in once place doesn't help the team much, so I rerolled.

For 15 seconds it's awesome. The rest of the time it's mediocre compared to DK's and a lot of chasing people around instead of gripping them to you, and no good CC. However it's really the only arena viable spec because you can instakill anything once you are geared - DK's can't do that even with all CD's up and obliterate 4x crit, it still falls short of a kill. But the overall uptime of DK's is great and makes them suitable for BGs, world pvp, and everything else.

As I already have 5x melee DPS I went resto on my shaman. As outside of arenas it's 1-3 globals max for 5x DKs to kill, I don't see the point of 4 more melee.


In my tests so far, resto shaman are Insane when stacked. Healing stream totem, the weak one, is 20-40k+ per tick. Healing tide is 45-90k+ per tick. Multiply that by four. Pop ascendance in resto and all healing is duplicated and distributed among the party. With 4 resto shaman you can chain heal for like 1 million, instant cast. 4x greater healing wave with ascendance is a full party lay on hands, probably close with a 10 man raid. I'm still working on my setup with resto healing my DKs but I'm excited about it so far. Besides the healing you have windwalk totem and tremor totem to support the group, and a few other nice tricks :)
