Pandaclysm Arcane Mage rotation

i do mine a little different. as i only want missles to fire after 5 arc blasts.

/castsequence reset=combat [nochanneling] arcane blast, arcane blast, arcane blast, arcane blast, arcane blast, arcane missiles, arcane barrage

it will step as normal as long as nothing is channeling, if it is, it will pause until it can. it has worked for me so far

This is how i do my macros to not break channeling as well.. its takes less space than having a sperate line for /stopmacro [channleing]

I'll try that on beta and see if it performs well with the new mechanic (might need two arcane missiles at the end to optimize for the new method). Barrage eats the stacking buff, so you may not want it at the end, depending on the new tier talent you pick.

missles eats the stacking buff too, thats the whole point of using it

Were you doing that on live? I tried beta, and it doesn't seem to work as well there. The issue is you want to be burning arcane missiles more often, it's not just a filler spell anymore. When I tried working in the Nether Tempest, something would always stick, or simply the missles would not be triggered. I also tried putting the Nether tempest in the castsequence, but then it got cast too often..

What still seems to be working best is:

Which allows the missiles to trigger pretty soon after they proc. All the other longer cooldowns are in one spammable macro.

What remains to be seen is what the lvl 90 talent will do to this. For Arcane, evocation will have to be part of it.

ok, not sure what to do here now. With the latest changes, arcane is a mana drain. The problem appears to be that they have tuned it to use the lvl 90 talent, which is great, unless you are not lvl 90 yet. This version blows through mana, so I don't know what else to do with it before 90.

For leveling, might not be a huge deal as you can stop and drink... Even in Cata, I've found that I can basically burn all the time and just take some snack breaks

Actually, missiles does not eat the stacking buff so you have to pew barrage once in a while, which sucks. Really.

Also I noticed /castsequence broken or bugging. For example:
/castsequence Arcane Blast, Frost Bomb, Arcane Blast,Arcane Blast,Arcane Blast,Arcane Blast,Arcane Blast,Arcane Blast
never casts frost bomb, only AB. :(

This way you wont have to press for procs, it works with other classes aswell, ive set up at pala/mage/lock/shaman/priest team using mosg2's system
and its really flawless one other incredible positive thing is atonement from the disc priest, now penance also heal thougth damage dealt, and it heals alot...

If you guys have any issues with macros and such, just try and use his system. Im sure youll be impressed, I pulled 75k DPS on my 1button arcane mage in LFR yesterday

I have been using his system for every class i run since he shared it with us 8) it rocks..who needs fall through macros? not muh!
