I'm running 4 screens off an ATI 6990 with aftermarket cooling http://www.arctic.ac/en/p/cooling/vg...90.html?c=2182 since the stock one is unbearably loud. I prefer 1 card solutions because cooling is far easier to manage, if you plan to go for 2 or more cards (in separate PCI slots) then you really should have watercooling.
