Thanks, I will try that. I noted that safe spot but didnt thought about using it that way.
I dont think it is an exploit: in other FPs you are also allowed to run in again after you died.

Some FPs you can't do that. Athiss for instance - if anyone leaves the room where the final boss is, he resets. Wonder why some are that way and some aren't?
Regarding last boss. I got inspired by http://www.torhead.com/npc/564KY92/c...rland#comments
There is a spot where the distance to medic is 34.5 meters and to Jorland 35.5 meters. I parked my sorcs there. I first kill the medic (powertech is mixed range tank, that helps here), then the shield guy. After this Jorland enraged, but his damage isnt high, it is very easy to heal with one sorc. The DD sorcs just do nothing. Tank kills Jorland in around 5 minutes...
If your tank isnt well enough equipped and if one of your DDs can also heal you should be able to kill him like that.
If you have only melees: good luck :)
Just an additional if you want to try boarding party: bring a lot of patience! The tactic for first boss doesnt work always, sometimes far away characters are grappled also. And sometimes when all characters die the FP is reset for at least one character and if this char enters FP first and all other follow it is resetted for all and you have to clear trash again.
So you have to fight bugs and the bad client combined with the challenge of multiboxing.
Never had the instance reset for me. Maybe Im just lucky.
Im looking for another hard mode to box. I do BT for the daylie reward. Any advice what instance is doable as a boxer ? I tried factory the other day but went nuts at the second boss.
What do you think is the best choice as a boxer ?
If you havent tried boarding party yet, I'd still recommend this as 2nd one.
False imperator should be easy if your DPS is high enough for the 2nd boss. My DPS wasnt high enough.
Kaon should be doable imo, the event may be tricky though.
Battle for Ilum should also be boxable depending on your class composition. I have 3 sorcs so first boss shouldnt be too hard (AOE for the adds).
D7 last boss is probably too hard.
Foundry (factory?) last boss might be very hard as well.
I usually do BT HC and dailies until I have the rakata implants and ears.
FP Hardmodes I finished so far with some notes.
In general due to the enrage timer: my healer regualary deals damage as well and my tank has a hybrid DD/Tank build. Especially the hybrid build helps a lot.
I'd recommend skipping all bonus bosses. The tionese implants are not worth the time. Some are easy but I just skip them to get to last boss quicker.
Black Talon
That one is a rather easy Hardmode. If you have problems with enrage timer most bosses can be kited.
Boarding Party
First Boss: Let one DD run around the corner of the hallway. That way if you "wipe" boss won't reset (thanks for that tip, Sibroc!). A healer can solo that boss, but it may take 20 minutes :)
Last Boss: Kill healer first, then kill the guy shielding the boss and then kill the boss. I can recommend that order only if you have ranged DDs (at least 35m). The grenade of the boss has range of 35m, so your DDs and healer should be in a distance of at least 35m to the boss. There is a spot which has a distance of 34.5m to the healer and 35.5m to the boss. Kill the boss with the tank and heal throught his enrage.
Kaon
Trash really takes a lot of time here since it is not multiboxer friendly. Other than that it is one of the easiest hardmodes.
First Boss (event): You have to be good with gun. That requires a lot of training (at least for me) :)
Second Boss: Nothing special for multiboxer. If your slaves are knocked back you may have to make them stand up individually, follow wont work after knock back
Third Boss: Nothing special for multiboxer. After killing first and second guy adds spawn and are coming from behind.
False Imperator
First Boss: DD and Healer can go to the center platform, Jindo wont aggro if you do it right. Park them there and kill him slowly, he wont enrage (thanks for the tip, cichard!).
Second Boss: Healer should do damage at start. When he comes out TAB quick and use strongest instant attacks. Don't bother with AOEs as many guides say, just strongest instant attack. That phase is always the easiest for me. The problem is his enrage timer.
Third Boss: Nothing special for multiboxer. Please note: first knockback interrupts his spell and he goes on his knees, second knockback actually knocks him back. If you have a class with a knockback ability you dont need to switch between windows to kick him down.
Battle For Ilum
I personally only 3-boxed, but that was already hard enough. That is the hardest FP and it was also designed like that. It drops more crew skill items (3 pieces instead of 1) than other FPs.
Try false emperor before you go here. If you can kill HK-47 before he (it?) enrages you might be ready for Battle for Ilum. Otherwise you will just wipe due to the enrage timers. I also recommend to have 1-2 Million of credits to cover repair costs.
Gark: Every now and then (possibly based on his HP) adds spawn. Focus on the adds and kill slowly Gark - there is no enrage timer.
Velasu and Grenda-Zil: First kill Grenda and after this Velasu. Either CC the canons which appear in between and heal through or nuke them. The enrage timer makes the fight difficult.
Krel Thak: Kill the adds and leave FP immediately: the 2 adds dont respawn and they have 4.5k life each one. The boss has around 130k. That means you need almost 10% more DPS for the first pull if you count in overkill damage. Enter again pull boss back in the middle of the room. Tank should not stand in group. When adds spawn AOE them as much as possible. The enrage timer is a big problem here. A few days back we wasted half a million credits of repair costs on that one, but yesterday we wiped only once. It requires some training. We ignored last group of adds.
Folek: Nothing special, CC helps
Serevin: Nuke his companion. After this he occassionally casts Force Explosion. That spell must be interrupted because it is a very strong AOE. Spreading out every one should help, but I am not sure whether the crystals which he throws as random players have an AOE effect. Have your class specific spell ready which removes movement impairing effects. He stuns random player including the healer for more than 10 seconds. Also his enrage timer is very short. We also farmed almost half a million credits of repair costs here but that was also partially due to my poor internet connection.
Thanks for sharing this !
Im leveling another toon to 50 atm so I wasnt able to run more heroics than BT for the dailies. I will give boarding party another shot this weekend and see how it goes. Last time I tried to kill the dd first. Will go for the healer first this time as you posted.
Ok, finaly I was able to complete boarding party. Final fight took some time but I made it
glad i could help
