One other note, and not Octopus related - 6Gb of RAM on Vista 32 bit means you really only have ~4Gb. This is a limitation of 32bit.
Just so you know ;)

Edit: More detail and from the source:

I know, but been lazy! Gotta do something about it :)
even though you aren't seeing an issue while running 2 wow's on the same computer, your page file is probably taking a huge hit on your hard drive once you start moving around ingame if it is RAM limitation limited.
in non techno babble, go into your task manager, and then your resource management button. leave that window visable while you run around first with just your main toon with alt main toon on follow, to see what your hard disk activity is. then do it with octupus and post your observations.
:P
This problem occured just recently, was able to run 2 wow clients at the same time, until one day it crancked up and I had to reinstall Windows :/ but from a question to another, when my main dies, and I need to switch to an alt which is on another computer, is it possible to run my team from that computer with octopus on the go?
Bump! Ugh, where art thou my e-net hero?
Still having problems when running octopus, computer starts to run slow when I fire up octopus. Any suggestions?
No idea, to be honest. Looking at my task manager just sitting here at the desktop, Octopus is using 13% CPU. This is on an i950 8-core. On my quad core box, which is a slave, it's at 0%. On this box when it was a quad core, it usually sat at 25%. I also notice that if I stop the server, it drops to 0% usage. I have some ideas about it but Skarlot isn't around any more and the source was only briefly available...and I didn't grab it while it was. :/ Maybe Ghallo can poke at that a bit.
[edit] Disregard the CPU thing. It came back up to 13% shortly thereafter.
