Hello.
im building 5 elemental shamans right now.
is it not the best way to go for PVP?
I tried it out yesterday and let me tell you it was not fun at all :P
I was taken down rather quickly. I guess i paniced to much and ....
Just curious if if shamans are waste of timef or PvP? whats best tactic for BGs for 5 shammies.
thanks alot.
5 shamans is always a good PvP mix. Many folks are on a Ret Pally, DK kick right now as well. I am much better at PvP I will tell you in the beginning I panicked all the time. PvP is a completely different play style I had to add spells into the mix that I normally did not use in PvE .
Playing in BG and PvP in general has made me much better at PvE. I find that I am much calmer during hectic situations.
I had the reverse experience. My BM hunter destroyed AV in crap gear from 70-80. You have so many tools for keeping alive (which is the key to doing well statistically). I would consistently rank top 5-10 in damage done and killing blows from levels 75-79.
Now my warlock and boomkin are severely out-pacing him. The better their gear gets, the farther behind he gets :/
I also have 5 elemental shamans but I found early on it was easier to play only 4 and run with a 5th dedicated healer (seperate player).
At first it was tough but as I geared it up became easier and easier.
At first, me being in a smaller BG like the 15 mans and 10 man it was basically a loss for our team, now its usually a win.
if you are complaining about a one-on-one fight, you will get better with gear and with practice.
if you are complaining about a mass fight where maybe 2-3 or 4 players are beating on your solo player, your supposed to loose, it still gets better with gear and practice.
You sound like your solo boxing, but usually as a multiboxer you are doing 5->1 in the other direction and your supposed to win.
But a well geared mage with a good blizzard should wipe your team if you don't get the bead on them first.
warlocks with a void up seem to be very hard to kill these days. they bubble up as well.
My 5 disc/holy priests are a lot of fun, specially when rogues come in contact and think they can kill me over 5x holy nova and while wearing 5 sw : pain and devouring plague - they die like flies - only problem is running oom though shadowfiend (and pots!) help a bit
I love to run in in the middle of a huge group and holy nova them to death :-)
Too bad that in most AV my group is broken up in different groups and I don't get as much benefit from holy nova that I do in regular 5 man group
Might try to get a PVP stable of pets. I have 6 spirit beasts I like to run for fun but PVP they kind of suck.
Bird of Prey (snatch weapons)
Carrion Bird (lower melee attack power and knock them down when they attack)
Spider (casts a web on them)
Heyena (bites their legs and slows movement speed)
Thinking of adding a bat to the team. Right now i just use a spirit beast on the other hunter.
Also round robin dropping frost blankets and aspect of cheetah to run away from them.
I am geared in PVP blues and one BG epic and do okay. I kill a lot of enemy players and am usually near the top of kills.
