I was able to get it running but only on 1 monitor. Is it possible for me to run the game on each monitor seperatley.
Its cool that i got it working but I would really like to be able to use my other monitor.. Is there a setup i did wrong..
Please assist
open each wow up on each computer before you open keyclone. I'm guessing you launched them from keyclone and you have maximizer turned on. Maximizer is only good for mutiple wow windows on the same comp.
Hey Jusa,
Im gonna try that now and see how it works.. ill let ya know my progress in a few.. thanks for the tip though..
brb :-)
Okay im back, I tried loading both games then loaded keyclone afterward, but im still not getting it to work. Im so close to getting this.
What am I doing wrong. It works fine when i boot both games on the one pc but not on seperate pc's
1.Network is setup
2.Keyclone installed on both pc's
3.Keyclone recognizes both games on each pc.
4.Now I just need it to work like it did when i loaded both games on one pc
Is this method of dual-boxing possible. I feeling like its not :(. 2pc's-2monitors-2games. keyclone between 2 pc's with both games..
help help :-)
Hi hadog, sorry i didn't chime in before now
firstly, if you want to use multiple machines... you will need a keyclone per machine.
second. you can run any number of wows on one machine, depending on your hardware, and keyclone will manage the keys between them (after they are on the keyclone list)
third. in order to coordinate multiple keyclones across multiple machines... you need to connect them together.
side note: if you are running vista, you MUST run keyclone as administrator

to do this, you have 2 options. one is auto-connect which will tell the keyclone on your other machine to try and connect to your primary machine. it will continue trying until it connects or you close it. to setup auto-connect, go to keyclone/setup/general and put the ip and port (ip:port) in the edit field at the bottom... then check the auto-connect checkbox. if you are unsure of the ip and port of your primary keyclone... look at the titlebar on your primary and you'll see it there. keep in mind... your secondary machines connect INTO your primary... your primary does not need to connect to them... so you only set up the auto-connect on the secondaries.
the other way to connect machines is manually. to do this, find the command area on the main screen, type the ip:port, and hit enter (or click 'connect').
in both cases, you will see a 'remote keyclone' line appear as it tries to connect. if all is well, you will see one also appear on the keyclone you are trying to connect to. if it does not appear, you have a network issue.... which normally has to do with firewall settings.

i hope this helps. if not, let me know.
Keyclone,
Thanks for the tips. ill try them out and let ya know how it goes..
brb :D
You the man dog, I got it working now. :D .. Couldnt of done it without ya. Damm this is a new world of dual boxing..
Now i guess i have to figure out how to talk in the game without all my other windows opening up on my other toon.
I did notice one think though, it seem like when i have my other toon follow my main, she always stops following him for some reason. I find myself hitting my follow macro constantly to get her to stay on follow.
Any tips on how to fix that.
when you want to chat... you want to 'override' or pause the broadcasting of keys. there is a settings panel for override under setup. the default hotkey is PAUSE (upper right section of the keyboard)
when you hit it, no keys will be broadcast to the other clones and you will hear an audible reminder. this enables you to chat with people without all sorts of crap bouncing around the other screens. just remember to toggle it back on before you go into battle.
as for moving, if you are a keyboard driver, you will want to add your movement keys to the do-not-pass list. i would also recommend adding shift+<movement keys> as well. otherwise, the movement key gets sent to your clones and it will break follow
personally, i mouse-drive long distances and use the keys to pivot/move in short bursts around the battle area.
oh.. and add NUMLOCK to your do-not-pass lists as well
