Grounding totem - spell reflect stealth nerf on PTR

The solution here is to fire off a low damage spell before blasting the warrior with a full nuke. Rank 1 LB would do the trick. Mages do this often to absorb a grounding totem or spell reflect. If Blizz won't fix the problem, work around it.

Um... thanks but I realize this. Im not blindly firing away into an existing AMZ, I've blown the EM cooldown+flameshock, waited the .5sec for gcd, and already sending off the LvBs when the AMZ goes up. Happens very often in the zerg of arena and theres no way to reliably avoid it.

OK then. Since it seems the bug is with all LvBs hitting at the same time, stagger your cast macros to leave a half second between the master's cast and the slaves' casts. I assume you may have already tried this, but in the interest of discussion I'm throwing it out there.

This is already on live servers also, when i duel a warrior and have grounding totem down id still get the lava burst on myself, not to hard to play against tho, just get an addon that warn you about spellreflect

The whole point is for them to all hit at the same time. For my purposes this isn't viable. Also - there is no "down ranking" spells anymore.

Yes and no.

You can downrank your abilities/spells just fine, but you're charged the cost of the highest rank you possess.
The same goes for buffs, if you run around a city and PW: Fortitude people who are low level, you blow the same mana as casting on yourself.

I havent played high level arena, but from my losses at lower levels I can tell you that:
1. GCDs are the difference between life and death
and
2. Taking the time to cast a downranked spell is taking too much time even if its macro'd. I'd rather switch targets and kill something else. Of course, the warrior is going to use it when stuff is in flight, so I can't really pick when its going to happen.

p.s. Spell reflect is so facking OP it makes me want to roll a warrior.

Spell reflect, just like AMZ from dks are both so broken on a basic level, they would have to scrap the whole spell and start over... which they won't. So continue enjoying 4x thunderstorm reflects, 4x lava burst reflects, and 50k dmg absorb from an 11k aoe shield.... all because they landed within the same .5 second window.
