Aint that the truth! We always called STV the pit of hell.
Good idea. I was already using that in easy instances on a Pala+Priest+3xMages. It worked a charm. I could even dress them the same for more confusion :)Quote:

They are currently 71, so I havent had a chance to try any northrend dungeons except for the trash in UK. Trash was ok, occasionally all the trash would turn to one pet and insta gib (they only have 12k health). I imagine this setup wont work in heroics... unless you severely overgear the instance. I run all tank pets so that if one dies another can take its place. I also started experimenting with ice traps and it seems to work well to get only one mob and then I can easily keep up with healing.Quote:

I have 4 x Hunter + Druid. I can do level 80 instance relatively easily, but I cannot manage heroics. Mobs hit just too hard for my pets.Quote:

thats what I figured... I tried a full run of UK today at 71-72ish. Pets were only level 70 and Im sure that hurt my efforts. I almost, so close, to killing the first boss, but I flipped out when my priest died and forgot he could heal for another 15secs. Damn boss only had 7k health left and hunters were all low in health =(.
I then tried the twins (second boss) and well... lets say I will have to come back to that one. The boss that randomly charges the group made it really really hard to dps him (all hunter dps) and my priest just ran oom because they werent going down fast enough. I think 2 more levels and they will be easy since pets will take less damage.
I imagine I can one shot the final boss. Who cares if he AEs my pets they have 75% avoidance for AE so I wont even have to stop dpsing. Should be easy (famous last words, I know.)
Overall I find I like my priest healer much much more than a druid. So many insta cast heals it's ridiculous. <3 mouseover healing too, it's almost mindless.
did that pre lich king, meh.Quote:

did this horde side, can't put my finger on why I dont like druids... there is so much to like it seems like a total win, but in the end I stopped playing them.Quote:
5x Druid (Bal)
kinda doing this now, I hear 5 hunters and chaining pets in dungeons can work... sounds lol worthy.Quote:
5x Hunter (BM)
ok now this one sounds very interesting now that I have played a priest for a while. Can you imagine 5(WTF!) prayers of mendings jumping around? I would say you are nigh unkillable with that and if you spec'd holy for instant group AE heal. Only way to die is run oom. Obviously I mean pvp, in dungeons you would be crit in the face and dropped like a bad habit.Quote:
5x Priest (Disc)
In the end Im guessing its paladins(all prot for the lols?) and then mages/warlocks (for porting and summoning). If I'm feeling my oats then I might try an all priest group, but I doubt I will even make it to the second group as I tend to focus on one and flesh it out before I move to another.
I just finished UK at 73 with level 72 pets. Was pretty easy this time around and only had one wipe (really unlucky one) on the last boss. His axe was nailing my hunters as I was strafing them out of it and at the same time I got hit with that cleave that hits really hard. If it hadnt been for that it would have been no wipes. I'm going to try Nexus tomorrow, I'll let you know how it turns out =)
5x mages
they were awsome while questing, you could run in with mana shield up and arcane expode a whole village down.
my mages didn't have a problem with most trash mobs in instances, you could sheep 4-5 and kill them off one at a time but I found them worthless against any boss... stopped playing them at 45 or so.
5x warlocks
these guys smoked every old world instance, they weren't nearly has cool when I got to the outlands. I only got them to 70 pre-wolk and they weren't much of a viable instance team in BC, too many things with instant pet killing AoE at the time.
5x hunters / 4x hunters + shaman healer
these were awsome though level 70, didn't do so hot in my first instance in WoLK.
hunters are just fun, I suggest a healer if you want to instance with them.
5x pallys 4x ret + 1 prot
these guys rocked almost every instance to 80.
I had a hard time with some of the 80 heroics but since I have a nicely geared shaman healer I sometimes bring the shaman along.
Ok tried Nexus at 73 and I sploded all bosses but the last one. That one is just too much going on. I have to heal the pets (tanking), strafe(or jump) my guys once in a while and heal the hunters when they do take damage from the dot. Also I have to heal the crap outta pets because they arent moving enough to drop dot. I guess I could bind an /attack then /submissive to my dps keys... but even if they werent taking dot damage they are all getting swiped by the dragon. It's just waaaaaaay too much incoming damage to heal it. I only shaved off about 25k health before she started gibbing my pets. I can't imagine how hard it would be when she enrages. Definitely need a tank for this one.
