My brother is one of the Top 2's players on our battlegroup and top players in wow-us. Him and I sat down actually yesterday and spoke about me boxing another class and SP came up. The issue is Shadow Priests are the lowest Arena spec out right now and just get rolled.
But on the counter one of the Top Specs is Dis Priest and I considered rolling a spike team with Dis priests, but mana is a major issue. And your main would most likely have to be a Pali / so you would run 4 Dis spike with 1 Prot Pali for survival. Because if you lost your main it would most likely take to long to switch to the next group.
The issue with Shadow is no heals and so you can't run in shadow form, another option is running Dis till Shield / Reflect then going deep shadow for that shadow dmg boost. But you can't run in shadow form otherwise no heals. Still a vaiable build but if you had say (5) Accounts with Arena Tournament upgrades and you can create instant 80's, then that's the way to go. :P
