I think I must have not expressed myself well...Quote:

For folks to whom such things are that important, the honor of paying for 5 or 6 choices when ever other class get's literally millions of combinations automatically, is more of an insult than a fix. What's more, those for whom appearance is so important probably never made it thru 70 levels with the same look anyway. If they did, then I suspect that "getting their character to look a certain way" was not so large a part of the game for them as you seem to suggest.
Keep in mind these are also higher quality skins than previous. It is a graphical upgrade even if people don't appreciate the specific designs chosen.Quote:

I don't think I like the fact that it's linked to your character's skin color, I wish they would have found a different way, but I'm not really passionate about it either way.
I believe this was the major purpose behind the upgrades. Given the performance of today's graphic cards, a lot of people simply wanted higher polygon counts on forms and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if all toons eventually got a model update. These models were designed about 5 years ago, so it's mostly a technology refresh. The fact that there's even just a little bit of a customization to them now was probably meant to be an added perk, rather than the main purpose of the update.Quote:

But I'm one of those people that don't really care either way. I was fine with the way they were, and the ability to customize is kinda neat even if the Alli cats now look a little more cutesy. Still doesn't change their performance or dynamics. The only thing they really lacked was a visual respresentation of "progress" in the game.
its not that im picky about how i look so much its just interesting for my gear to change. i dont roleplay and it doesnt actually matter what it looks like its just nice to have the variety :)
If they ever make it so that you can show your gear in cat/bear form I am so going to level my druids. That's what I want to see a Cat that has gear on and it shows, i mean it makes since its not like you go naked when you turn into a cat or bear. Can we say He-Man!
Many many druid players have been crying out for updated forms for a long time now, as there was just no distinction between a lvl 15 bear vs a lvl 70 or 80. Its something 70 % or more of the population wanted to see implemented, though it may just be fluff, its definitely a good change. Its like food, would you really only eat pizza every day of your life for 3 meals a day, or would you be happy when the cook finally gives you a delicious bucket of fried chicken and taters?
seem like the real solution wouldve been for the actual model to change as you level. sorta like how the first horse you get is just a horse but at 60 you get one with armour and junk on it.Quote:

Anyone know if they are going to be updating the moonkin and tree forms also? Cause tree isnt that bad but moonkin is disgusting.
I am one of those that pays very close attention to how my toons look.
I don't like the way the horde druids look. but yet I can see how shape shifting you can not lose the horns though I wish they would go away.
I will remake a toon several times till the name and look are just how I want them. I will go for certain pieces of gear because I like the look. I used addons to switch gear when I entered cities to replace crappy looking gear with gear that I enjoyed looking at.
But this is how I enjoy the game. And yes my toons are higher level then 70. I do have an 80 druid. So your missconception of us who like good looking toons is WRONG. I even have a male friend who takes it even further then I do on the look of his toon.
I do have a 70 hunter that was one of my original vanilla wow toons. It took me 3 years to level her. Because she is orc and dog ugly. If the toon doesn't look right and name doesn't fit I will delete it. Even if it is a 60+ toon. If I don't enjoy playing that toon and HATE loggin it on because of char features your darn right I will change it.
I'm happy to see the face lift and more custumization. It has been a long wait for this to be put in. Now they need to put more options in when you create your toon. That way I can place scars, tatoo's etc where I want on my toons. That way I don't see another 500 toons that look just like me.
