btw hit up the new boss in voa10/25 too, he drops t8/t8.5 and is pretty easy if you have a good group. I just finished doing it on each of my shamans (seperately over the past 3 days) in 10 man, and 2 of them have done it in 25 man. Already got two pieces of T8 and one piece of T8.5 on my guys, none on my DK yet :( just having the achievement is huge though since it makes joining future good groups much easier.
Yep, done the new boss in VoA a couple times already (10 man only so far) - its really biased against melee - my DPS drops so much running out of novas, running over to overcharged mobs, etc, that most ranged dps has almost double the melee dps.
You basically reiterated my exact point though - people of any class will top the DPS chart if they have skill, decent gear, and a good spec, probably in that order. Just pointing out that getting high DPS as a DK isn't because they're "Way OP and can faceroll their way to victory" hehe. I attribute it for myself mostly to skill, as in the Naxx 25 run I had 0 25 man gear, still using Titansteel Destroyer, etc.
Anyway, after last week I probably wont ever be able to run Naxx or Ulduar for more than a couple bosses at a time - just takes too long and I don't like generating massive amounts of wife aggro.
Yeah, that's actually the hardest part to raiding.. finding the time to do it all. Not only that, but finding 9-24 other people that have time to do it all. I don't like the time obligations to raiding, so I intentionally avoid it most of the time. And I don't even have a wife and kids.
I should also clarify my post a bit more, when I'm talking about crazy DPS on the DK, I'm mostly talking trash mobs, as it's usually a AoE fest. Single target, most DPS are pretty close to each other when gear/rotation are optimized. One problem is when someone says "I do 3000 DPS", it always needs to be followed up with "does that count trash?". I doubt any other significant nerfs are coming to DKs in the near future. I think both tank-wise and DPS-wise they are on par with most other classes now.
Have you noticed any significant boost from the increased runic power since the last patch? Assuming you talented it.
Pve is fun the first time but farming the same instances over and over aint fun at all, however this is not as bad as it used to be.
The days when i raided we did MC for nearly 2 weeks, every god damn week. After that we added Bwl,aq40 and naxx aswell, aq 20 +zg were done wensday and saturday and i did everyone all with atendence over 90%.. Not strange only thinking of raiding makes me puke!
I enjoy the pvp part alot more even it it can be quite unbalanced at times, its not bad atm but yes there are fotm setups and there always will be. I enjoy doing bgs just for fun even as a singel boxer!
I also enjoyed 5 boxing all the heroics in wotlk but farming them isnt even an option! I rather clear them in blue and wipe 100 times more then i would in full epic gear that i farmed myself. (only items i bought was titansteel guardian and the tanking helmet, everything else was from heroic drops)
Ugh, don't bring up MC. Took like 1-2 hours just to assemble the 40 people (and it wasn't even a PUG!), then an hour to just get to a boss. Then when you drop him, you have only like a 10% chance of even getting an item you can use!!Quote:

this isnt true, with good players, that know their class you will not beat pure classes. My best patchwerk dps is 6500, pre 3.1(you can probably still see me on wmo scoreboard as phien), and in my guild that gave me 5 or 6th. Ulduar is even worst, i can achieve top 5, but never first, cant beat warlock or a rogue doing 7k dps.Quote:

Shoulder really seem to suck I have been running Naxx 10/25 for a while on the tank as well as on one of my shaman and i have yet to get a shoulder drop kind of sucks cause I been putting my team on hold to get all purple'd out before I went in for heroics right now my last shaman is 79 and will be 80 probably tomorrow since we gonna finish Naxx 25 tonight. Cleared 3 wings and just need to do the military quarter and then the last 2 bosses which are cake is everyone quits screwing around and does not kill the MC people off from Kel. Hope he drops the tank axe.
