The screenshots on the main site look stunning to me. Especially the landscape scenes. Pretty nice looking but yea first time hearing about it for me.

They've also had a lot of problems with publishers.
Eh, my question is how accurate is the alignment system, and how smart is it towards player behavior. Thing seems like a griefers paradise to me.
Its been designed to be a more difficult class of game.Quote:

You know, every time I've heard this before, the thing invariably flopped because the design seems to eliminate a bottom percentage of its own playerbase. Just an observation.Quote:

Age of Conan had such a great potential..
It looked GREAT.
It felt new.
It had a nearly perfect start (think i had 2 hours played)
After about 40-50 levels:
Dragging your ass trought the starting area was a MAJOR pain since i rerolled.
The game simply wasnt fun at all.
It lacked the ability to make me play 12 hours without thinking about the clock or anything i was suposed to do in my real life.
Instances was just meaningless button hammering.
The crafting system was a major disaster and i NEVER been in a more boring game when it came to farming.
I used the same dps skill from level 5 to 50.
And i even was what you could call a AOC fanboy.
This game is the definition of vaporware
I remember being so excited about it back in the day. I am an original UO player and so the skill system naturally really interested me... but after a while I just had to move on. Even if it does come out, which it seems like it finally will... how long will the first patch take? LOL.
Dont really intend on checking it out, dont want to get behind a company / game and then have it crap out on me (HG:L anyone? not that i was behind it but.. they were trying to turn it around.. anyways I digress.)
I am all for new MMO's, if they can provide something fun. However anyone making one now is completely out of their mind wasting the cash to produce the game. They are in for the usual downfall a few months after release due to lack of subscribers that the rest have faces or are in the process of facing atm. WOW is still king and the only successor that i see so far in the makeing is possibly Kotor MMO. The game does look good from the pics and the gameplay sounds solid, but a wow killer its most likely not. Which in the end means that they just flushed their money down the toilet.
Aion looks to be the only decent game coming out in the near future.
I hear Duke Nukem Forever is coming out this year too.
