I run a similar setup as you (I am alliance though).
Protection Paladin
Arcane Mage
Boomkin Druid
Elemental Shaman
Holy Priest
I recommend getting an addon like SmartBuff for a class makeup like this, it will make your life much easier.
My most used keyboard presses are ` through = on the keyboard for example:
` will trigger smartbuff, which allows me to have my entire group buffed from nothing in about 10 seconds
1 triggers short cooldown buffs (like the current seal i am using on my paladin)
2 everyone assists tank and does single target damage rotation
3 everyone assists tank and does damage rotation while priest does a heal rotation on main tank.
4 Priest heals main tank with shaman backup healing main tank, everyone else dps.
5 my AOE button, everyone does their aoe damage rotation.
9 will summon the totems i like to have up during large/boss fights
0 will trigger longer cooldowns (force of nature, fire elemental, shadowfiend, etc)
- Circle of Healing button mash (with the new CoH nerf coming up I got the holy nova glyph and will mix that in for a mash group heal button)
= is my all follow button
Alt-1 thorugh Alt-5 will cause Shaman, druid, and priest to all heal a party member, helps when heavy healing is needed on someone.
As for my playstyle, I generally do instances and I don't quest all that often. I did RAF to 60 with a mix of leveling together and boosting (paladin boosted the shaman and priest to catch them up).
If you have any specific questions about playing this setup, let me know.

Although I'm still learning with my mixed group, I don't use macros other than character targeting for healing (this doesn't include the ubiquitous follow/invite/assist/etc. macros). Perhaps I'll find a use for macros other than what I have now, but we'll have to wait and see.

my setup
I have a similar group (pal,priest, mag, mag, shaman) although just 4 classes. I have set it up like this
F1-F5 heals fast heal for each group member
F6 AE heal
F7, F8 large heals to tank from priest alt. shaman
1-= dps 1 is everyne nukes, 2 everyone but healers nuke, 3) insta dps, 4) pyroblast, 5 AE 1 (totem, scorch, holy nova), 6) AE 2 chain lightning, arcane blast, holy nova
Num keys - totems
f-k refesh all 10 mins buffs
30 min buffs are on SHIFT2 spellbar 1-5 (since i do this rarely and between fights anyway)
Inser/home/page up manages targetting for sheep/focus
then there are a few more for invite, accept, drink, selfbuffs, emergencies, mana regen (evocation/gem)
Most paladin abilites are done via clicking
Its starting to take up a lot of keys, but i always know what each toon is doing, and if lets me be relatively flexible depending on situation.

As you start off you really don't need any macros outside of the follow, assist and what not but as you gain more spells you want them. An example could be a frost mage, early levels frostbolt does fine but eventually you might want to add in casting icy veins and summoning a water elemental and telling it to attack. Later on you may find use for modifiers in macros to condense the amount of keys you need bound which is what macros offer as well. If you running a mage and/or druid I'd suggest setting up a focus key for them so they can use their cc's to do this you'll need some macros.
As for the healing while continuing to dps question. I split my keys up so that I have 1-2 keys bound for dps buttons while having some others dedicated to healing or tanking. Here's my setup, I use the numpad for almost all of my functions:
num0 = /assist party1 (this is on all characters)
num1 = my paladins avenger's shield + consecration and nothing on my other characters
num2 = my teams dps macros and outof combat temp buffs like seals
num3 = nothing atm
num4 = nothing on all characters except for the priest who shields the tank then penance
num5 = nothing on all characters except for the priest who spams flash heal
num6 = priests holy nova + trinket use
num7 = teams buff button
num8 = shaman totem
num9 = priest fade pally taunt
num- = /follow on al toons
num. = set mage focus
num_enter = sheep mage focus
As you can see going into combat I use num1 then spam num2. If tank needs heals I use num4 and num5. If the party needs heals I use num6. This way I can heal, dps and tank with minimal keys needing to be pressed. I am finding that soon I will need individual heal keys as dmg can happen elsewhere than to my tank. My teams at 65 atm and has leveled running nothing but instances.

I have the same classes as well. I leveled up in the Forsaken area to start and eventually moved to Barrens etc... I didn't bother training my druid until it was convenient. It's really not a big deal since it's so easy with a group.
From 1-60 I had few macros. I used Healbot for healing since I have two computers and you rarely need to heal anyway.
Besides the basic /follow (I switched to Jamba a while back) and /assist macros, each toon has a DPS macro tied to a single key. That's about it. Almost all of the macros use /castrandom with the core spells (this changed as I started doing instances and gained spells etc..). I also have my trinkets in this macro since I figured I might as well just use them all the time.
I use the Smartbuff add-on as well. It's great. I have it bound to a hotkey and it's part of my /follow macro. So, every time I hit follow, I get buffed when needed.
When you start to do instances, this is where things need to change. I added healing macros for each of my characters, totem macro (dont bother with totems while I level usually), additional DPS macros (to separate some stuff out) and a bunch of utility macros like sheep, shackle, ensnare, fear, aoe, etc.. Most of that is bound to my G keys on my Logitech G11. As you level up, you will probably figure out a lot on your own.
I am still tweaking and will likely add more functionality when I spend more time doing instances. The Northrend instances have been challenging for me and I know I need to redo a lot of my setup.
I'd recommend using Jamba and Smartbuff to start. Those are my "can't live without" add-ons for multiboxing.
