Someone ought to make a game designed for multiboxing. Where you could have several chars on one account and play them at the same time and where the game was designed for it. And no, I don't mean D&D type games, but a "standard" mmo, without the multibox limitations of games such as WoW and WAR :)
Yeah would be cool to see a multiboxing-type mmo game. Closest I saw was a korean game but you controlled a party.

but i think half of what makes multiboxing cool is that it isn't the norm, that you are doing multiple of what most people only do 1 of. It definitely would lose some of the awesome feel of it i think but it would still be fun.
Definately, if everyone was doing it then I'd not like it.
There are already some games that allow you to play a group of characters. Most of them have some sort of (like Guild wars) mercenary system that allows you to hire a npc to fill in for a regular player. Sword of the new world is the only MMO that I've played so far that actually has you play a team of characters:Quote:

(Note that playing with multiple characters is about the only interesting feature of this game, so I wouldn't recommend playing this game)
I don't care if everyone is doing it or not - whats fun for me is that it requires thinking in the part of setting up your group and it can actually be a challenge to beat encounters and I can reach my ingame goals without pick-up groups. The novelty of it, I couldn't care less about - if there was a multiboxing server in WoW, I'd move there and not look back :-)Quote:

It's a squad-based MMO which I tried after swearing off WoW, but I'm back to square one again, so I guess that isn't saying much... It's not a horrible game; in fact, it's one of the best subscription-free games I've yet to come across, but it lacks the polish of games such as WoW and EQ2, which, obviously, is why I'm playing WoW again.
I took a look at it and I like the idea, but I'm not really into turnbased games. At least I haven't been for a while, but I might check it out if I get bored with WoW - it looks like one of those free games, where you pay for ingame stuff, which I'm also not sure how I feel about, but thanks for the tip!Quote:
