I had already completed the quest chain up to the point of going into DM west and downing the boss, so to me it a no-brainer to go ahead and do it.
I completed it last night with 4 warlocks and a priest. One of my locks was level 63 (leveled to 64 in the instance), and all of them are specced demonology, so it's not going to be exactly the same experience as you would have. Still, it's doable!
I posted my experience here:
DM West complete!

yea with demo locks its a bit easier because you have demons to tank most of the instance.
do it this weekend. its not hard to do most of the prequesting. you just need to buy a lot of mats off the AH and complete a few quests. oh and you must have everyone complete quests up past Scholo, the one where you use the Imp-in-a-Jar to write up some glyphs for you at the Alchemy lab inside Scholo. after scholo, only one of your warlocks need to buy mats for the summoning.

Yeah the more I look at the quest chain the more I realize even saving the money isn't worth it, time wise, as I could make twice as much money just doing dailies if I spent taht much time doing SSO dailies on my shamans.
Also I already did the dreadsteed quest on my single box warlock like a year before BC came out so I have no desire to do it again just to "see it done".
