Fear isn't really an issue imo. tremors ftw.
In AV, at midfield you can see a warrior/priest/warlock coming at you soon enough to drop a totemfarm to counter the fear. It happens rarely that i get feared and get killed because of it. Allthough the resilience helps ofcourse. I just target my shaman who get's hit, spam lesser healing wave till the fear is over, regroup and keep my shamans healed. Drop totems while regrouping and gank. Only had it happen with several horde, so regrouping + totems was needed.
at lvl 65-69 i would often meet a lvl 69 semitwinked mage, who ran at me when he saw me and try to kill me. I killed him and would walk 30 yards if that would give me te possiblity to kill him. After a few days he made a lvl 1 toon and started to insult me etc etc. I told him that i would leave him alone(planned on dinging 70 anyway :P) if he left me and suddenly he was all interested in how multiboxing worked etc. Amuzing how the haters/whiners can change their attitude/opinion in a matter of seconds.

Im in Eots and Ab and Av atm. I like EoTS because my 4 shamans and a pally seem well suited to holding a tower. AV I try and defend and as Im horde Im usually very lonely and facing the entire alliance team and dying in about a second. The jumpy mages hurt me like hell--a good rogue is nasty. I use decursive for pally cleanses and its a nice addon. Warlocks stay at range at usually seed me. Im very new to MB pvp so if Im against about 3+ alliance Im usually toast. Wearing PvE greens and blues doesnt help much though ;-)
Havent had any bad comments yet even in AB/EOTS but my battlegroup sucks so hard on EU horde are usually amazed if tey win anyway. Im not used to that I came from a battlegroup which won everything tothis one--its sad.

IN AV I like to go stright to Balinda. I drop 4 fire elementals and wait:) 75% of games I will keep her up without being wiped. Once they give up i can usually take back SH or IW and thats what I do for the rest of game, keep out towers and watch out for Balinda.
