I think it has to do more with luck. In that, since you can begin to play in this scenario from the moment you log in. I noticed many times that my group was lvl 2 or 3 average, (but the scenario gives you lvl 8 stats), and we would be fighting lvl 7 or 8 average groups (meaning some lvl 9, 10, or 11. Your stats might be adjusted up to lvl 8, but you don't have the lvl 8 skills. Your opponent my have those lvl 10 skills (higher damage dealing)...so losing in the scenario isn't a bad thing. Doesn't mean you suck (unless you are losing to a lot of lower leveled groups). :)Quote:

If anyone still cares about this thread, in regards to the queue times for T1 and T2 scenarios, there was a bug which would result in Scenario instances not popping even though there was enough participants to warrent a pop.
This has been fixed, and you can enjoy 10 second wait times on T1 and T2 Scenarios.
The playing against higher levels fixes itself real quick in T1 at least as you get a big chunk of your XP bar filled with every win, so those lvl 10-11 guys won't be in there for long, and even the losers get great xp with the repeatable quests to participate and kill 10 enemies.Quote:

My que times in T1 & T2 have been almost instant, at least in Nordenwatch and the mountain one where you control/carry the orb thing.
Queue times seem really long for me, I only got in 3 games in T2 elf area in 3h of playing. It's probably just the faction imbalance, as it seems most servers have a higher Destruction population than Order. Also, at least on Azazel, Destruction wins 9/10 games. The few times I've lost a scenario were usually against a pre-made with higher level players (like all 18-20 people in the T2 scenario, when our team was a normal range of 11-20.)
I haven't noticed any char type imbalances at all. In T1 it was definitely Witch Elf heavy, but in T2 it seems more balanced.
Go play the T2 scenario in dwarf/goblin lands. Much faster queue times (and some crazy fights) on our server.
I went nuts and tried out a ton of characters to rank 5 or 6, now I have two high elves at rank 11.
What I found out was that the wait time for scenerios is noticably higher destruction side. However you also have to learn which scenerios have more players queing.
What I did was go around and do all the scenerios, to find out which ones seemed to have the best xp/run. In tier 1 it is a toss up between The Empire and dwarf ones. While I actually think the elf one is fun to do you clearly get less return on your time, because of how easy and common it is to stalemate and have to go the 15 minutes I think it is underpopulated. Leading to longer qeues and less xp.
Personaly I think you should pick based on what roles each race is lacking in. So my sordmaster for example did the Empire scenerio, but my Witch hunter did the dwarf one for dps.
On wasteland last night I took a brand new swordmaster from creation to rank 9 in 4.5 hours in Empire. Doing nothing but scenerios. Without exageration the wait time was less than a minute for 4.5 hours straight. Also it helped that we won 75% of the time.
Seriously roll order if you want more scenerios.
The problem with order is open RvR, the pop imbalance makes it kind of tough to get shit done.
1. Destruction populations are much bigger than Order, so queue times are much longer for Destruction.
2. People are becoming aware of which are the faster scenarios so they are gravitating to those areas (generally Greenskin/Dorf).
Now that they patch it so you can queue any scenario anywhere (in a given tier), i've found that everyone picks just one and goes with it. Getting into any other scenario is like pulling teeth, but for the popular one it's generally under a 5 min wait.
And usually it's like the variant of Morkain Temple (whatever the T2 dwarf vs orc one is). Simple team deathmatch with an object in play that bolsters your points if you kill with it. There is a scenario in T3 like that, except underground and full of ledges overlooking lava. Lots of punting in that one as getting in lava generally results in death.
BREAKING NEWS
I feel like an idiot. I didn't discover this until today, this is with a 14 Chosen, 8 DoK, 13 Archmage, 7 Ironbreaker and a 7 Sorceress. You can queue multiple scenarios. Just queue the first one, pop up the scenario dialog and click the right or left button and join the next one. There are 3 scenarios in T1 and 3 more in T2. Wish I knew that when I was sitting for ages not getting any scenario pops, everyone must have been queing for a different scenario.
