I have 3 mages and 3 pom pyros is nice. They die easy though. Locks would be nice dotting and running but the OMGWTF PWND Pom Pyros is just priceless.

I didn't vote cause there's no option for both. Thats what im gonna do. I already got my mages and priest to 59, and am doing 5 locks for now, and at 21 im gonna sub out 2 for a pre existing paladin/priest. I want the paladin/priest at 31 so i can just gift them the rest of their levels to 60, then ill either take the 21 locks and tag boost em with the 3 31 locks. I was thinking about doing healer (i plan on having all 4 healing class/spec) and 3 locks and an spriest. Unless wrath nerfs spriest/lock synergy. Of course, its always nice to have a backup healer in the spriest, and backup rez. That also lets me experiment with warrior/druid tanking, and still have a regular rezzer.
4 mages is really fun. Plus for those crazy moments, spamming arcane explosion while attempting to regroup has saved me a couple times. Fear bombs suck, and only having one removal (fear ward on priest) seems like a liability. Ill try a resto shaman later, and see how one tremor totem works in that situation. With locks, fear bombs go both ways :)
Well, really depends on how you want to play them I guess. There are advantages and disadvantages of both. If you are thinking warlocks because of the dots, be aware that people can heal through dots - no matter how many you have. I discovered that very quick - I'd throw up 15 dots on one guy and his healer would dispell and heal right through it all. Of course it had to be a pretty good healer who wasn't dotted up himself. Given a ton of spell damage is may be more viable, with 4-5 locks or priests you could get to where each tick was about 1/3 of their life or more. Of course there is always destruction spec for warlocks, but you unfortunately can't re-use the gear (dreadweave has no crit on it at all).
Mages have to kite because they are so soft. One of your main ways to do that is with blink.. I guess you could blink the whole group at once
I usually dot the healer and then drain main x5 his face off. Gives me a good laugh to imagine wtf he's thinking with 5 drain manas on him as he spam heals his mana away.Quote:

after playing 5 level 70 mages and 5 level 70 shaman i would say go with shaman. mages are tons of fun. free food, ports the world is yours for the taking.
level 70 instances are basicaly all out of the question. 5 sheeps are nice. but if you mess up just once. you have to deal with runnin 1 or more toons back from the graveyard
its a crazy time sink. AV hella fun. taking back towers is easy. down side is your hella squishy. having no heals or rezzes makes it no fun for you
aoe farming is way easy btw. only problem is you run out of mobs or there is one or 2 other people farming there aswell killing your aoe pulls
zak
haha nice.. I gotta try that. sounds like a great way to annoy people as a multiboxer. I think I'll spec into imp mana burn on my priests as wellQuote:
