Great stuff, wish my wife was into games/mmo/boxing also, would be fun :)
Quoting Xzin's post since I think everyone's questions are covered in his post... :P
Actually, Suvega was very happy with his "death star" cases. He was able to put his 4 boxes together faster than I could put together the 3 acrylic ones. :P But, I've always wanted one of the acrylic cases, so I figure it was worth the effort.Quote:

The bill ended up being around 8k. Nice guess. :)Quote:

They run very smooth for WoW, and are BIG upgrades to the temporary boxes we were using before building these. I was using a higher end gaming laptop, my old college comp that just CRAWLS, and a laptop that didn't even have a decent graphics card. I was actually forced to never walk through any major cities due to the amount of lag I'd get on that laptop -- I'd end up losing my 5th toon who'd just stand there running in place.
Suvega was just 3 boxing his mages up until they hit outland, then hooked up his priest and war -- so he needed the 4 boxes. He was using HIS old college comp and his gaming laptop.
The gap is actually so I can peek through and watch TV while leveling. ;) It doesn't take much attention to grind through Arathi Highlands. I'm probably going to rearrange once I get to lvl 70 for PvP and all that.Quote:

Other than those annoying permissions dialogs, though, Vista's working just fine. :)
Anyway, sometime after work I'll go dig up the specs for all the boxes for anyone interested.
Funny thing, the annoying popups are some of the only things I have been able to remove, which says a lot seeing as I can pick the brains of the students on Computer Science and Engineering line at the Technical University of Denmark (Scandinavian equivalent of MIT if you haven't heard of it).Quote:

I was saving my first post to do a little write up on my multi-boxing experience and pics of the old desktop, but...
wow!
Both you and Suvega have an impressive setup.
Just had to come out of lurking and say you guys have an awesome build.
Great Job!
Neither of us works in Windows, you're safe. ;)Quote:

Very nice setup. I love when the UPS truck arrives with 'puter parts. It's like Christmas all over again. :D
I wish I had a couple thousand dollars to spend so I could take pictures of a UPS truck delivery my goodies. :( Someday.
When the UPS guy delivered all of them inside your house, you should've said "Oh sorry that's the guy next door", then have your neighbor say the same so he would have to bring them back to your house
Heck no. We were sitting there with giant grins on our faces like it was a second christmas. ;)Quote:
