Ah, cool, I see what you want. I'll add an option to Jamba-Follow for you to suppress follow strobing while drinking.Quote:

I found a minor issue:
When you have a player in your team, but this player is not online, then you get a lot of warnings on the other characters that this player does not exist. The warning messages are system messages(yellow) in the main chat log.
At this point I solve it by unchecking the checkbox of a character when he's not in my team, but it would be awesome if you could somehow implement a "Exists" validation before trying to send stuff to a character.
Im not losing any sleep over getting banned from using an add on. They are faily tight in what you can modify or do with an addon. And has anyone in fact been banned for using a add on?
Ya I get that spam about offline guys also.
I can well understand that you dont want to add to much in (as it is Jamba is very very cpu friendly) but adding mana and hp bars, and a target and target of target frame in the team display would allow users to junk X-pearl or Pitbull. Also as your product keeps growing at some point you can just plain charge like $9.99 or something. I mean I dont see why someone would not pay a minimal price for a ready to roll multibox add on set up. If you had a pre made full UI similar to Cath or something (keeping CPU usagae to a minimum which is obviously critical to boxers) with Jamba you easy could just charge a flat fee (exspically if you had a way for the slaves to get the UI also with ease when there is a update).
I was under the impression that data mining is when you exploit the data in a stream that is not already available to the public. Auctioneer is not showing you information that is private or privy only to Blizzard it is only organizing that public information for you. At least that is the way I understand it, perhaps I am wrong.Quote:

Either way Blizzard has left it general enough to take whatever action they deem necessary.
now back to talk of Jamba!
in the wow it reads they add ons in the add on folder which are frames and and api& event triggers within lue. xml. tog. you can not make any new api's that blizzard has not put in it is not possible for a add on to be "illegal" if it was BLizzard would change it so those triggers can not be implemented into wow.... now on other notes for what this forum is about
I love this add on it is amazing if I would like to see anything it would be casting bars and members targets I love you even if you do not put that in hehe

Yow! I'm glad to hear that you've email wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com regarding this situation, and it might be a very good idea to let them know that you believe that your account was compromised when this situation occurred.
Unfortunately, there isn't much more I'm able to do on this end, but I genuinely wish you the very best of luck.
Edit: For reference, this had nothing at all to do with Addons.
Quote:
Well, if it's a true 'addon', then it should be fine. You can consult our UI & Macros forum for more information, though will state that we do not typically ban for Addons, and that there is likely much more going on.
Quote:
No, because, as I stated earlier, we do not ban for the use of mods or addons. If you have questions about a particular addon, then it's a good idea to check our UI & Macro forum for more information.
I had a system to do this in place in the very first release of Jamba. It worked fine for some users (including me) and other users couldn't even play the game (see the first two pages in this thread). The system used the friends list to see if the character was connected. T've since tried to find out if a character exists or not with other methods. There is a wow API command called UnitExists, but it only works for party/raid and potentially characters you have interacted with. I know its not good enough for Jamba's purposes, so you are stuck with disabling offline characters.Quote:

I don't want to build unit frames replacements. And I'll never charge for Jamba either. Jamba isn't open source at the moment, but when I have finished development, I'll more than likely open source it and others could take over and make their own modifications. But until then, I'll do my best to accomodate as many of you as possible. :)Quote:

Using the checkbox isn't much trouble though, since I can broadcast the settings anyway ^^
Building Unitframes is a full time job all in itself or could be. Pitbull and others allow enough custom abilities to create the bars you want. I fear that this mod might grow to large myself. The addition of buy and sell is outstanding but again there are mods that do that very effectively now and while this has allowed me to do away with those mods I would have been just as happy without this feature.Quote:

what I am excited about is the targetting featues. I do not use them yet but I see so much potential.
Keep up the great work I can not tell you how much we appreciate it.
If you have any problems, please let me know!

- Solo mode - use /jamba solo or button on team interface to disable all other characters except the current one.
- New slash commands:
- /jamba enableallmembers (enables all members in the team tab)
- /jamba disableallmembers (disables all members in the team tab)
- /jamba pushteam (pushes all settings in the team tab to other enabled characters)
- /jamba solo (puts Jamba into solo mode)
Jamba-Follow - New Features

- Fixed a problem with playerStatusHealth being a nil value.
- Team GUI refresh time increased.
- Team GUI window will now appear behind other windows.
- Team GUI can now be made smaller (can shrink to show portrait and follow status only).
Jamba-Follow - Bug Fixes
- Options added to not warn about follow breaking if character in combat, or any team member in combat.
- Follow strobing can be paused for characters with a special tag:
- In combat.
- When any team member is in combat.
- When the character is drinking.
Jamba-Group
- Characters no longer warn about follow breaking when taking a taxi.
Jamba-Me - New Features
- Can now automatically set the 'master loot' loot method.
- Can now automatically accept party invites from guild members.
- Automatically opt out of loot now works (unlike previous versions).
Jamba-Me - Bug Fixes
- New option to warn if master is not Focus when entering combat.

- Auto repair option moved from Jamba-Merchant to Jamba-Me.
Jamba-Purchase

- Options to replay chat (guild, guild officer, party, raid, raid leader, whisper) to master / chat.
Jamba-Target - New Features
- Long whispers no longer cause errors when whisper forwarding. They are split and sent as two messages.
Jamba-Target - Bug Fixes
- Can now edit macros associated with targets. Use #MOB# where the target name would normally be in the macro and Jamba-Target will replace it with the name of the actual target when marked.
End of update for 0.4.
- Jamba-Target settings are now pushed to other characters correctly.
The additions look great I can not wait to try it. Do you suggest dumping the WTF file as well?
I sent you a donation.
Jamba target:
- the jamba bind for clear target just seems the same as pressing escape. Isnt it meant to clear the target #? Atm relogging seems to be the way to clear the list :(
- the macro's don't do anything. I cleared the /targetexact line replaced it with /polymorph, but the slave toon's jamba bind to target just targetted the mob as before... no poly with or without a /targetexact line. The macro was on the slave.
- the /jamba settarget command on the wiki doesn't register.
what if, jamba-follow had an option to form a follow chain automatically. :)
Been using Jamba for about a month now, LOVE IT. Will probably send a regular donation :)
For taxi, I've noticed it doesn't work. I have the flight paths open in all windows, and take off with the leader, and nothing.... I have all my team members in each other's list, taxi is checked on, and I still have to manually select each location.. in each window.
Suggestions?
No you should be fine to leave it, only about 3 options reset to defaults, auto repair and auto deny duels/guild options.Quote:

Ok, clear target is the same as pressing escape (except it clears the target, as escape might close a window first). No way to clear the target list completely. I'll add something like that in.Quote:

Polymorph works for me:
/targetexact #MOB#
/cast Polymorph
/targetlasttarget
Did you press the accept button after changing the macro? Please let me know if you are still having trouble. I'll try and check it tonight.
The wiki is wrong, I never wrote those commands.
The follow chain idea has been in my todo list for a long time... yes it would be cool.
Thanks for your donation.
Hmmm, taxi works for me in 0.4.Quote:

Are your toons are all enabled (checked) in the team list (and enabled on each character)?
I found the clear target didnt clear the target from the list or remove the raid icon.Quote:

Yeah I mean, I pressed accept. I played around with a bit. That the macro still targeted when I removed all targetting told me theres some other problem so i left it. Next time I play i'll see how it goes, but I expect the problem remains.
[s]ok, can't wait to try this new version some more. Howeve4r, you are refering to jamba-target and macro's, a quick glance over the options menu does not show me the tab I saw in one of your screenshots for jamba-target. Are we supposed to make m[/s][s]acro's using wow's own macro feature or is there supposed to be a seperate macro screen which I am missing ?[/s]

Ok, it seemed by just copying over the new version not all files got updated by Vista which resulted in a mixed bag. I have now deleted the original folder in my interface dir and cleanly installed Jamba 0.4 and I now have the additional macro tab inside my jamba-target settings.
Absolutely LOVING this add-on - thanks much - it's much superior to MultiBoxer :-)
A few feature suggestions:
- Showing reputation-bar in main window (instead of healt/experience)
- Option to count amount of accepted quests. When doing dailies, sometimes the add-on due to lag or whatever, misses a click and only 4 of 5 chars accept the quest - it would be great if the chat on the master could read something like "Accepted quest: The AIrstrikes Must Continue (5)" instead of five individual lines. That way I wouldn't have to check the individual screens or the main questlog every time :)
- Option to warn of full inventory on slaves (I'm not sure if this already exists)
I absolutely love:
- The sheer amount of configuration options
- The autobuy option (/cheer)
Thanks a lot,
can't wait to try the new version tonight.
Bunny
Thanks for the fixes and updates!
I didn't know there was a donations button, so you'll be getting mine too in a few minutes :)
It's superior overall \o/Quote:

Great addon have removed a few others because of this. keep up the good work!
In the team tab of the /jamba interface, all your characters are listed there. Are their boxes checked as well?Quote:

Thank you for the update Jafula and I see that the /disableallmembers macros have been added. I will try out my team creation idea when the servers come up and let you know if I have any issues.
Thanks again!
Hello Jafula,
I'm actually thinking about a new feature that could be really cool to have included into your wonderfull addon:
It's the group target display 8)
Let me develop, I had one time an addon that was allowing me to see what was the target of any player in the group, I think the addon was X-perl or something... by that time I was not multiboxing, but re-thinking about that possibilty, I think that could be really cool to see at one glance what is the target of each slaves before entering combat mode :D
Else ... Just keep up the good work Jafula !
Plonk.
First of all: GREAT addon - keep up the good work
And to Plonk:
Let me develop, I had one time an addon that was allowing me to see what was the target of any player in the group, I think the addon was X-perl or something... by that time I was not multiboxing, but re-thinking about that possibilty, I think that could be really cool to see at one glance what is the target of each slaves before entering combat mode :D
... there can be only one! Perl Classic Unit Frames has a "group target frame" so you can always see what alle the other toons has targeted - priceless ^^
Jamba was updated Sunday? I can't wait to try it tonight. (as long as the severs don't crash w/ WoTLK)
does it by any chance include a: /jamba-assist master all ?
I thought there was a mention of that feature as a possibility. I, for one, would love to see it included at some point.
Thanks for your hard work. You're the man.
Im having an issue with master looting wtih jamba and im not sure if its because im misunderstanding what the addon is supposed to do in that regard.
My thoughts are... if you have it to auto select master looter... and you have it set to change group leader to master, that it should also change the master looter to the group leader when you switch. So if char1 is leader and masterlooter.. if i switch to char2, it will switch him to master looter. It doesnt appear to be behaving this way at this time.
I can right click my portrait and select a new master looter that way.
Am I misunderstanding what the add on is supposed to be doing with master looting?
Thanks for your help.
First, let me say this is really an awesome add-on for multi-boxers. I think I speak for most of us in thanking you for the great work you have done.
Today I decided to reorganize my team of 4 shammies and a pally and swap in a higher level char to help boost them along. When I did I began to run into some strange things happening and I think it is tied to the name of the char. The new char is one of those char names with the accent marks. The chars name I added in is Chârlie (key sequence is alt 131). Of course, I had to remove the old char and add the new one in and reset the group and everything looked okay except that when I reran the /jamba-group invite command Chârlie's experience would not show on the Master char's jamba team list. The bar is there, but there is no coloring and no data shows when you mouse over it. I tried various things including changing over to showing health but with the same problem. Also, the red dot indicating that Charlie's follow is broken stays red all of the time.
Charlie, however follows as he should and from a purely functional standpoint works just like the other chars. He just doesn't have any health or experience showing on the Master char's jamba char list. At this point I tried turning all of the slaves jamba char list on and strangely they all showed correctly. Only the Master char list doesn't display properly.
After playing around I finally removed Charlie from the group, logged him out and back in, readded him to the group and blamo, he shows correctly on the list. So I log all chars off, relog all of them in. Reinvite the entire group and again Charlie shows but no coloring/data and the red light is on (I never was able to get this fixed). So, trying my theory of how to fix this, I removed Charlie from the party, logged him out, back in, readded him to the group and he shows fine.
None of the other chars have this problem (none of them have accented char names) and I have never had this problem before on any version. (I don't think the problem is version related, I just noticed it today when I added this char with the accented name).
This certainly isn't a big deal since the addon works fine, it is just one of those cosmetic things you might want to look into if you run out of things to do.
Thanks again for your excellent add-on and for supporting the mult-boxing communitity so well.
Update:
Figured out the problem (operator error :( ) The char I was having problems with did not have the correct command to strobe. I had put in /jamba-follow strobeon all rather than /jamba-follow strobeonlast all. Sorry for the incorrect diagonsis of the problem.
Wonderful addon Jafula, thanks.
I'm seeing a minor problem though. The Auto Promote Master To Leader function is only working once for the first change of focus, and not for any subsequent changes.
Hey Jafula!
Check out this topic: Looking for a mod that does the following
Looks like a nice feature ... should I see if I can get it into Jamba and mail you the code(and/or code changes)?
I'd like to help ^^
Heh, if the poster wants those messages like: mob slain 2/10- it's already done in (0.4), the options in Jamba-Talk called Forward UI errors and Forward UI information. They are on by default.Quote:

Awesome!
Maybe its Wow, or maybe its Jamba 0.4.
but my error messages "Spell is not ready", "You are too far away", etc., are showing up in my chat box. is there a way to disable this on the main? even if i solo with the main i get these messages from the main. erm... and i tried to change the options but the texts keep popping up. so... it might not be a jamba issue. can you please confirm? thanks!
I had to turn off Jamba-Talk -> Forward UI errors and Forward UI information to get it to stop spamming me with that. I *think* I saw something about setting up filters for it. But I ran out of time.Quote:

No filters for that yet. What sort of filter would YOU like, a filter of messages not to send, or a filter of messages to send? YOU being anyway that uses Jamba and reads this post.Quote:

I would personally go for a selection box that says something like "no filtering, list is block list, list is permit list". [edit] ... but ifyou would only provide a small fixed set of filters, then it doesn't matter, because the list is small to change.Quote:
