Well first, Judgement can be used at a further distance than other attacks, so a lot of people use it first to continue a headstart on agro before the DPS starts in.

From my experience, using too many HotR ate into my Mana too much. My rotation uses 2 CS {10% base mana} to 1 HotR {12% base mana}. That provides steady enough multi-target agro generation without eating too much mana, especially when factoring the mana pigs of HW and Consecration, which Pinot also has in his macro.

You can also take all of these as starting points.
They are sets of macros, which you know work and work well.

But your needs might be different than the macro authors.
And spells, talents, glyphs and such will change over time too, so what was optimal once might not remain so.

Take the macros as a starting point.
And tweak them, if you think something works better.
Play around with it for a while, and then either keep it or revert back to these.
You can always try different variations.

If you find something that works better, please consider sharing with the community.
That is what makes this such a great site for boxing; lots of people sharing ideas with others.

Cobra shot refreshes your serpent sting and regens your focus. Steady is used for MM and BM.

And the Proc, Black Arrow isnt a Proc, its a cool down cast, so having that in the proc, does that mean it will auto cast it once it has come off cool down ?

Ack! My hunter macro still says Steady Shot here? Darn, I changed that to Cobra Shot as soon as I reached a high enough level on both my hunters. I'll go back and update it on the initial post.

As for the "Proc Macros", I just named them that because Proc-type spells were the original reason I started the 2-Step thing in the first place. However, the Proc Macros are no different than the Sequence Macros. Each will be cast about half the time, meaning Explosive Shot and Black Arrow should basically cast as soon as they are up. I've been using that macro in raids and do fine DPS with it. I'm sure I might get marginally more DPS out of watching a rotation carefully, but then I'd be screwing other things in the raid up because so much of my attention would be on the rotation, not the MUCH more important situational awareness demanded in todays raids.

Trying it, using HotR/Judge/HotR/SotR/HotR generated more threat but less mana efficient, toggling the hotkey between CS based macro and an HotR based macro and between seals is most efficient with regards to maximizing mana and dps, but trades in ease of use, so it depends on much micro managing you want to do.

Having thought more about it, I'm convinced that a more layered approach, using more than two keys/macros is the best solution.

I see you changed it too Cobra, going too try it again shortly as we raiding in a few hrs, Im just looking for a more lazy way too keep my dps above 20+ ahahhah.

And being what I am with macro's and all this tinkering, New to me, even still, I want too try fire on my mages, well they already dual specced into fire, but specificly the 2 step macroes on them.

What could going wrong with the fire mages.... i copied your proc macro same way I did for Arcane which works great btw.

My mage seems too manually cast pyro blast and not actually cast it when the proc comes up.

All I did was same thing as before, except used your fire mage macro

Looking at Arcane proc macro inside it is has inside it arcane missiles, but the fire proc has not got anything for pyro blast.

I tried too add it same way you had your arc proc but replaced the word arcane missiles with pyro blast, but it still isnt launching the pyroblast on proc.

What am I doing wrong please ?

What does the reset=6 mean ? resets after 6 casts ? 6 seconds ?

Also the reset=target/5 ?

A castsequence normally loops through A then B then C then D.
Once it reaches the end or last ability, it loops back to the first (A).

If you include something like NULL, or a non-existant spell then it cannot advance beyond that point.
So gets stuck there.
Ditto for a spell that is on cooldown, the sequence sticks until the spell fires off.
Not saying until the spell hits, just until the sequence can do it and advance to the next point.

There are various reset conditions.
Once any of these are valid, the entire sequence starts over at the first ability or spell.

Reset=
- Target = Change of Target
- Combat = Leaving Combat
- Alt = Pressing the castsequence while Alt is held
- Ctrl = Same as Alt
- Shift = Same as Alt
- 4 = After four seconds of the castsequence key not being pushed (even if it cannot fire off, if you're mashing away the sequence will not reset)

You can combine these.
So with reset=target/5... the sequence resets when you change targets or when you haven't pushed the castsequence macro at all for five or more consecutive seconds.

Also I need to re-try the fire proc, as right now am in the middle of using the surv hunter macro and I know why the fire proc was not working, lol... when I logged to my hunter just now too test Surv macro, it too wasnt working, then I relalised,..... INSERT, too toggle it on lol...

As for Surv macro, its working nicely, except it takes far to long to re-apply black arrow, sometimes as much as 7+ cobra casts before it re-applies Black Arrow after its fallen off.

Not really issue as its easy too re-apply and rest of macro works amazingly well so thats going to be one hell of a lazy way too dps tonight on Ala'kir and thats what Im after :P

Brilliant stuff. Less I have too care about my procs and sequence the better for my overall surroundings like Damn tornades and wind blasts.

Going to try and come up with something for Marksmen as I do amazing dps as MM on certain fights, its just a real pain too monitor a sequence on.

You may need to adjust your spam speed. I saw a post earlier where spamming a multistep macro too fast can seriously impact how often the "proc" section actually has a chance to occur.

You could also try moving to a 3step macro instead of just 2, where Explosive Shot and Black Arrow are each individual macros.

Umm. have I missed something like usual ?

3 step macro instead of 2 ? hows this work ?

Just add another mapped step, so instead of using 2 and ;

add another step there so instead of just 2 then ;, it sends 2, then ; then 3 or whatever other key.

Change the second macro to just send Explosive Shot, and remove Black Arrow.
Add a new macro to send Black Arrow and put it on the new key.
