New Recruit a Friend Features

Well I did this last night. A Couple of things to comment on.

I used two of my old accounts to recruit 3 new accounts. I purchased them via upgrading Trial (something I haven't done before and will not do again unless I use a box to upgrade). I didn't realize that I wouldn't be able to trade to the upgraded trial accounts for at least 72 hours. That kinda of sucked but no biggie. I also didn't realize that since I used a CC for purchasing time that even though I did the 3 month prepay that I will not get the Zebras until after the trial month is up. Guess I will be going to pick up gamecards tonight.

As stated elsewhere the XP is insane. I leveled 1-14 in just over 2 hours last night and skipped a large number of collection quest. I am going to hit up RFC tonight and see how that does but already I am outleveling kill quest and easy collection quest. Heck I hit 14 before even reaching XD last night.

So hmm, In a boosting perspective :

Account A - Prot paladin
Accounts B, C, D, E - Shamans, Whatever.
You buy 2 new accounts. Account Y and Z. Account B RAF Account Y and Account C RAF Account Z.
You Transfer the 2 shamans from Account D and E to Y and Z. Cancell Account D and E Subscription
Account B and C get the mount. Account B, C, Y and Z get Triple Xp.
Since they are not linked to Account A. The normal group xp + Triple xp apply to the 4 account.

Total Cost = 125 €

In a leveling perspective :

Account Z RAF X, X RAF Y, Y RAF W, W RAF V. ( This gives 4 mounts. if you want a mount on Account V aswell. You need to buy another account recruit it through account V, pay 2 months of fee and Cancel it )
And your ready to make new 5 man grps. leveling by instances/quests.

I believe you're making double transfers for no reason. Make and RAF the accounts Y and Z in your name and transfer B and C straight to them. No reason to transfer to A first.

Also, you don't want to link the Prot Pally's acc to the others: the trivial clause means boosting is absolutely out of the question.

EDIT: I should add that I am not necessarily looking to transfer the Shamans. I'd even reroll completely so I can take full advantage of the level charges for my main's account so I can get an instantly-60 Shadow Priest. ;D

AHh true , Stupid ><. And with the first "Boosting" thing i posted. None of the other 4 accounts are linked to the paladin account. So you can savely boost away with the extra xp.

The mount is an Epic land mount.

Referer = A
Referred (new toon) = B
Third account (not referred or referrer) = C

They note that if the mobs killed are gray to A or B, then triple xp won't happen. But what if A and B are the same level (new toons), and C is a level 70 boosting them? Do A and B earn triple xp? Or just B? Or neither?

That's what I was saying. I hadn't bought BC yet or even gotten past 20 with my two clones so it made sense for me to abandon those and link two new accounts. After you factor in the free game time it really was not that expensive to buy two new classic Wow to get all the added features I get this way. Were I up to level 40+ I'd be fairly upset

Blue did answer it somewhere. Answer is YES, they earn triple, adjusted for a 70 being in the group as usual.

Can someone confirm that typical boosting *does* work with 3x XP? I've seen a couple posts that seem to show that it does..

This is so tempting, even for someone who already has 5 accounts.. not for the mount, but for all the *free* levels on alts.
Think about it.. the main account (#1) refers all 5 new accounts (#6-#10). Purchase 5 more WoW battlechests ($150-$200)
Pay for the extra accounts for the full 90 days ($225) to make the most of the 3x XP/honor bonus.
Now, assuming you have decent lvl 70 to boost with on your main account, you can alternate boosting between the 5 new accounts to get them to 61. Since you can't gift a player higher than 60, even though you can earn the level/2 gift on the new account to 70, stop at 61. Levels 1-61 will provide 30 free levels per new account. The goal is then to get as many of the new account characters to 61 as possible in the 90 days.. for all the free 'gifted' levels to 60.

The only requirements are to have a lvl 70 to boost with on the main account, and plenty of open character slots available.

Repeat this process until 90 days have passed:

- Create 4x 5-man teams on the new accounts (accounts #6-10, team member A-D) for 20 new characters. Sub in the lvl 70 main for one of the accounts for each team and level 1-11 normally through newbie quest/xp. This shouldn't take more than 2 hours per team. The teams will look like this:
Lvl 70 (account #1.A), account #7.A, account #8.A, account #9.A, account #10.A
Lvl 70 (account #1.A), account #6.A, account #8.B, account #9.B, account #10.B
Lvl 70 (account #1.A), account #6.B, account #7.B, account #9.C, account #10.C
Lvl 70 (account #1.A), account #6.C, account #8.C, account #8.C, account #10.D
Lvl 70 (account #1.A), account #6.D, account #8.D, account #8.D, account #9.D
(Currently, we've earned 20x 5 gifted levels, up to character level 11 on the main account.)

- Using the same teams as above, instance boost them to lvl 61. We've now got account #1 with 1 lvl 70, and 5 new accounts with 5x lvl 61's each.
(Currently, we've earned 20x 30 gifted levels, up to character level 60 on the main account.)
Create character B on account #1, and "gift" him to 60. (Gifted levels left: 600-59 = 541)
Create character C on account #1, and "gift" him to 60. (Gifted levels left: 541-59 = 482)
Create character D on account #1, and "gift" him to 60. (Gifted levels left: 482-59 = 423)
Create character E on account #1, and "gift" him to 60. (Gifted levels left: 423-59 = 364)
Create character F on account #1, and "gift" him to 60. (Gifted levels left: 364-59 = 305)
Create character G on account #1, and "gift" him to 60. (Gifted levels left: 305-59 = 246)
Create character H on account #1, and "gift" him to 60. (Gifted levels left: 246-59 = 187)
Create character I on account #1, and "gift" him to 60. (Gifted levels left: 187-59 = 128 )
Create character J on account #1, and "gift" him to 60. (Gifted levels left: 128-59 = 69)
Create character K on account #1, and "gift" him to 60. (Gifted levels left: 69-59 = 10)
Spend extra 10 levels on another existing alt lower than lvl 60. Since gifted levels can apply to any character on any realm in account #1, there shouldn't be a problem with character slots running out.

- Transfer 2 of each of the "gifted" characters to each of the new accounts. ($250) Our minimum account layout now looks like this:
Account #1, lvl 70.
Account #6, 5x level 61, 2x level 60.
Account #7, 5x level 61, 2x level 60.
Account #8, 5x level 61, 2x level 60.
Account #9, 5x level 61, 2x level 60.
Account #10, 5x level 61, 2x level 60.

- (Optional) Transfer existing main on account #2-5 to accounts #6-10. ($100 if only 1 main per account, like me.)

So, if I started today, for around $750 and 3 months of grinding, it would be possible for me to have:
Account #1 - lvl 70 main, lvl 67 paladin.
Account #6 - lvl 66 shammy, 5x level 61, 2x level 60.
Account #7 - lvl 66 shammy, 5x level 61, 2x level 60.
Account #8 - lvl 66 shammy, 5x level 61, 2x level 60.
Account #9 - lvl 66 shammy, 5x level 61, 2x level 60.
Account #10 - lvl 66 shammy, 5x level 61, 2x level 60.
These 3 months would have produced 35x lvl 60/61 characters. Of course we don't have to go to this extreme.. but just imagine what's possible..

EDIT: Just noticed that you can't gift levels cross-server, so character transfers will need to occur sooner to prevent account #1's character slots on that server from filling up.
