Saw this on WoW Insider, an interesting read... I need something like this on my server! I wonder if they accept multi-boxers? :)

Thats VERY cool - if I hadnt started MBing I would have transferred there in a heartbeat with my rogue - getting into a decent guild is almost impossible for rogues at the post-kara level.Quote:

I know it works, I was involved in a guild alliance on my old server, we had at our biggest 7 guilds signed up, working on ZG and MC (pre-BC), and over 70 level 60's to work with. We never reached critical mass tho, because if we lost a key healer or tank we'd stall until a new one trained up or came in. It blew apart with the release of BC, and never got going again. It was a blast, because, like they say in the interview, we got to meet a lot of new people, and it let small guilds like ours raid, and nobody had to do the "raiding as a second job" thing.
Maybe I'll take my rogue over there when Wrath comes out - could be cool!
Lol, that's my old server.. This was made a long long time ago. It's wicked that it has grown so big. That's crazy, and it's a huge accomplishment. To be able to organize something like that on such a grand scale. It really seems to unite the server.
On my server, Emerald Dream US Alliance we have the same thing. They are called Emerald Raiders, and it's in game on a chat channel, and they have a website for signups. There is also plenty of Pugging for heroics, and even kara/za, and there's always an extra spot here and there when someone drops out.
I can't wait to get my toons up to 70 (3 locks 1 healadin just dinged 60, and my mage shaman druid priest team just hit 52 with zolo) so I can get some raiding experience with these guys. Hopefully they will be open to boxing.
We had a non-guild uberpug running on our server Aggramar EU Alliance side. Pre TBC it was good raiding. Now it has been taken over by NUP (New UberPug). It used to have a website www.uberpug.com I hosted for them, along with phpraid for signups and a forum. Quality was nice. NUP only has a chat channel but is doing some nice raiding I believe. Too bad MBing takes all my playing time and I'm not able to raid yet since I lack some levels :D
That really is cool, and I'd give my right arm (well, ok, somebody else's right arm perhaps...) to get my hands on that raid sign-up system for my raiding guild's use!
We actually used to have a similar thing on EU-Aggramar, called Uberpug. Pre-TBC they used to offer pretty much what the Leftovers are, but post-TBC they became just another raiding guild which is a bit of shame X(
