Outland Here i come

So 2 of my locks are 59 and the last 2 just dinged 58. Ive been in outland for a while already, using Shattrath as my base of ops.

Anyway, yesterday i make the run to hellfire to start running quests there, and soon im off to a good start. I run into the odd "wtf" toon, but they never stay and chat....

Anyway, i gotta go do that quest where you gotta burn the catapults on the other side of "death valley", so i run around the top and make my way to the first catapult. I see this 63 ShadowPriest killing some boars there, but i leave him alone and pull the first mob and kill it. I use my torch and light up the catapult.

Now i trun around and look at the shadow priest. This is also the first time i look at my debufs, and i notice he already has vamp/embrace plus a few others on me. I give all four my fellguards clearance to go have a party and being the eagerbeavers that they are, they charge/stun/kill the sp before i can get my first shadowbolt off. The vamp embrace and other spells he put on my me 8killed my main though, so i swith mains and start healing up everything while the ex-main runs back form the graveyard. He gets back, resses, and summons his deamon, soulink up, and take command again.

Thats about when the sp resses and immedaitely targets my main. Stupid move. He's on half health. 4 Felgualrds bash him back to his graveyard. Ok i think - wont see him again in a hurry. So i go off to do the other catapult and periodically check behind me. I see him twice more, but everytime i target him, he goes away fast.

Good bit of fun. I go back to Thrallmar, hand in the quest, get a new one and go hunting for fell blood. Never had anyone bug me again agter that.

I still have a ton of pre-tbc quests to do. Should i bother with them.

Looks like that's common for shadow priests. Had a lvl 60 sp attacking my team(lvl52ish at that time) last week too. Ofc he hadn't even the chance to kill one of my toons.

But back to quests: My highest char hit 60 yesterday, I'm still in the old world and gaining much xps through quests there. And I haven't even touched Silithus yet. The downside are ofc the items in the old world.

The more outlands quests I keep for lvl 70 the better. 25k Gold is a long way -.-

Well thats the whole thing. Back when i lvled my main toon i hit 70 in blades edge. Shadowmoon and Netherstorm together netted me 5K in xp-gold rewards so i'd like to hit 70 before Nagrand if i can. Its gonna mean ginding instances like mad, but Nagrand + Blade's Edge + Netherstorm + SMV should give me about 10K Gold each in quest rewards.

Have you had any issues doing instances with 4 locks? Do you get a healer to go with you? How much does cloth really hurt you or do you get lots of stamina to make up for it?

I hit 58 early saturday morning and was originally planning to stick with Old Lands until 60 but because my gear was so crappy from being boosted to 55 I took the plunge and went straight to the outlands. I deleted all my old world quests and I'm not turning back now. Yes it would be nice to have a ton of extra zones at 70 I can quest in for the cash but I figure the ability to do dailies x 5 is going to be a faster way to make cash.

I did the same thing. I was initially going to hold out as long as possible in the old world (hopefully level 61-62), but when I hit 58 on Saturday, I went to Outlands to make 375 professions available, and I never went back. The XP is just so much easier to get here. I was going to hold off on the Hellfire Peninsula quests until I reached honored with HH, but running Ramparts on old world gear and the few random outlands drops I could find wasn't going to happen.

I have a 70 hunter and a 70 Holy Priest that can run with them, although ive only used the hunter for ZF and all the others i ran 4-ways.

Simple Tactic
Send in Void, go make some coffee, send in other pets, wand it to death

Some fights require a bit more. That epic hell stairway in ZF was a blast. Set all pets on Aggressive and then just health funnel them.

Im not really geared very well. All just quest rewards so stamina stacking isnt as high as it could be.

Nowdays, i send in all 4 felguards, then run in between them and hellfire till just before death. mobs are normally dead by then, if not suck a healthstone and wand.

Rogues die fast in hellfire btw. It normally takes em a second or 2 to realize what is happening, then they kneejerk a vanish while still standing in the hellfire. Result - dead rogue.
