Heroic Ramparts bugged on me - twice!
After having a nice smooth run through heroics Ramparts I only had the last boss left. So I used the same strategy I've been using; run out of range so the ride does not aggro on you, run back and start DPSing the dragon while in the air. When he reaches 40% (give or take) he lands and starts coming after you. At that point I drop all earth elementals to pickup the aggro on both and continue to blasting him. NORMALLY...he dies and then you kill the rider (usually within seconds). This is the same strategy I've used many many times before - successfully.
But on my last 2 attemps just as I was about to kill the dragon the rider does his emote as if the group had wiped and the dragon and the rider *despawn*. So no kills on either. Normally when you wipe the 2 humanoid mobs respawn. So you attack them to start the event over again. But this time instead of them respawning nothing happens. Keep in mind the dragon and the rider were NOT killed, they just despawned. So after 15 minutes of waiting for them to respawn I submitted a ticket. About 45 minutes later a GM whispers me. At that point I had just taken down the first boss in heroic Blood Furnace.
The GM said as long as everyone had been zoned out of the instance for 35 minutes the dragon will now be back. So I think great, thanks, and I zoned back in. To my annoyance the trash had respawned too. The GM said I would have to fight my way past all the trash again just to get to the last boss. And no, he could not / would not reset it for me. So off I go again killing all the trash just to get to the last boss.
I start the event, I use the same tactic, the dragon lands, as he is about to be kiled they both despawn! :cursing: 15 minutes goes by and the humanoid mobs do not spawn. So yet again another ticket goes in to a GM. And I'll be damned if I'm going to attempt that for a 3rd time and have him despawn on me!
Has anyone else expierenced this bug, or am I just unlucky?
