Formation Macros.

Today I saw another 5-boxer Shaman who spread out in an X formation then saluted. I have no idea how you would put this in a macro for how much distance your character moves or in what direction if its even possible. I thought maybe he just had each character key binded to go a certain way, held it for 2 seconds then clicked another macro which made him do his salute. Also id like to know other formations for certain boss fights that contain AOE dmg or chain lightnings which will require you to spread out anyway. Any input would be appreciated :)

to answer your specific question: Other than the + formation, most formations involve two keypreses, or a sequence of keypreses. Sometimes these can be simultaneous, though. Theoretically you could use a g15 or something to automate this, but thats a TOS violation since you have a pause. Its trivially easy to have formation keys however, and then just manually do them then type /salute. Assuming your broadcasting of course.
