hey :) Started multiboxing about 4 days ago, am now level 18 with my three troll shamans, halfway to 19.
And am starting to have trouble leveling, i avoid most quests which require you to gather X amount of items so im quite limited, alot of my xp has been from instance runs so far but i cant always get people to help me,is there something i can do to avoid running out of quests or should i just get used to the fact im gonn have to grind to 70 ?
I dual box, but I don't skip any quests -- including the "collect x things" quests.
I have always figured that those type of quests are to be referred to
as "grinding" quests-- because that is what you are doing. Only
thing that I really suggest is to make sure you get some rested XP
saved up - as that makes the leveling go faster.
IF you are of the mind, create a second group -- and swap out when you
hit the Rested XP end. I'm leveling a whole mess of alts this
way, and it works.
I have come across the same problem..
The way I cope is to alternate between the various areas for your current level. e.g... I'm currently running 5x Dranei Shaman (now at lvl 19) and find that you tend to run out of quests for your level, so i have been alternating between the Dranei and Night Elf areas until the higher lvl quests open up in the zones.
As for the collection quests - I tend to attempt them and see what the drop rate is like, normally I'll start looting items on a team member that has the lowest xp, so if the drop rate is really really poor i'll only finish on that one character. usually its a good exercise just to keep on killing (skinning and looting as you go) until the collection quests are done. I also find I'm vacuuming the land of all the resources as I'm leveling up all the professions across all my characters
For rested xp (in a major city or an inn) you get 1 bar per 8 hours which is 3 bars per day. The max you can get is 1.5 lvls rested so that is 20 + 10 = 30 bars max rest xp. So if you create 10 teams and play a new one everyday you will always be playing with full rest xp. I don't know about you but that is a lot of team to manage. I am having trouble with 2 teams now. The only reason i am have trouble is for there professional all 7 have enchanting so they are all sharing mats which is a pain, but to fix that issue all i am doing is lvling 1 ench in each group so each group can enchant. The spare mats i lvl the alts (much better then keeping that all at the same lvl). When both teams get to 70 then it is time to power lvl those professions.
Also when you hit the 70 bracket, you might not be able to do that 1.5 lvls in a day (i had problems getting passed the 1.5 rest when i played everyday for like 3 hours. it is that the next lvl needs so much xp. from 60-70, solo, i only played like 1 lvl that wasn't rested)
