problem with keyclone

well not a super problem so to speak. but i use a nostromo n52te gaming pad its a handy little gamepad and i love it. anyways when i push shift-1 for my round robin tremor totem, my clones go off without a hitch, however my main doesnt drop the totem, he uses his trinket. its very odd and any ideas would be welcome. i should also note that when i push shift-1 on my keyboard it works just fine, i have no problem using the keyboard but i have a ton of macros on my nostromo id like to keep using

edit: just tried it again, now when i hit shift-1 it locks shift down on the clones and they try to cast all my shift binding instead of regular bindings
