Analysis of Ellay's new video and questions

Wow, very impressive video . Someone mentioned it during an AV match on the Vindication BG yesterday. Ellay is famous!

One question that immediately comes to mind is why the pally healer was out in the middle of the nagrand arena. I'm trying to figure out why he was out there, so exposed. Any thoughts on the purpose of that move?

Also, I saw a lot of healing rotations. Maybe I wasn't watching closely enough but it looked like Ellay's members might have been casting different healing spells at the same time. Any thoughts on the most optimal healing rotation for arena?

Another thing - I'm guessing that Ellay jammed down on the follow button quite a bit to re-align the facing of his shamans after CC attempts. Does he have to spam follow or does he have it somehow in his attack macros? I.e., "/follow focus" "/attack macro

I spam the crap out of my /follow button :) it's not in the macro's as that would mess up other critical areas. My healer is overall just likes to have fun and against a Eurocomp he's going to get sapped regardless - that's the only way that team will open up on me, so it was a bait and get the fight started move. I'll keep myself alive until he gets out of sap.
I only use lesser healing wave, but with all the cc / fears going on , they will cast at different times, I'm just spamming the heal button.

the reason for having the healer in the front (especially with pally healers) is to 'draw agro' this keeps the opposing team in FRONT of ellay's shamans, no need to turn, just blast
the pala healer can always bubble when needed, and is in better range to the opposite healers in order to use hammer of justice RIGHT before ellay blasts the warrior down, without the warrior getting shielded, bubbled, healed

follow: i have /follow macro binded to ~ key, in reach of my pinky, and gotten used to mashing it whenever i think it is necessery, works nicely
i dont like having /follow in other macro's, as often i like my alts to stay put while i move around

Interesting. Aren't you afraid the priest is going to mana drain the pally and LOS him behind the pillars?

For Eurocomps, I'd say Disc Priests have been one, if not, our biggest problem so far. Often times, the druid will take over healing and the priest will mana drain me over and over until I don't have any left. Even if we get the warrior down quickly during the rush, it still doesn't give us enough advantage over the priest and all his tricks. Given the fact that Disc Priests have an "out" -- how do you normally think about them when you start to prioritize your targets? I'm guessing you normally kill them with a quick switch.

Uhhh - this is out of left field. He's asking three questions about a specific video that was just posted AND Ellay was nice enough to respond already.

Mage is the largest concern for Eurocomp, you have to drop it ASAP or put pressure on him, the healers duty is to keep you alive and have situational awareness. If your healer is taking heat from Mana Burns they need to call it out, make a switch over to the priest and throw 1 set of lightning bolts at him and go right back onto the Mage. The priest will then have to switch into defensive mode, usually running behind some type of LoS object.

Eurocomp is all about control, and the mage has the highest burst / damage on the team - take him out of the equation on their setup falls apart.

I just searched Eurocomp while doing arena...these guys where tearing me up!

I let the rogue get the jump, Fire Shocked dropped the novas...then I preceded to purge and instant nuke the mage. GG. They team left the arena after that. I owned em and they new it, amazing information you give away sir!

What's your suggestion versus teams with 3 healers for example heal Shamy, heal Pala, Disc priest and MM hunter and MS Warrior ???
or is that what euro comp means???
