A five man group to solo mc
After seeing alot of ony solo kill videos come up on the interenet i started thinking seriously about what would it take for a five man group to be able to clear the other old 40man pre-bc content.
ive not read or seen anything of anyone actually trying this out, so im here asking if anyone has tried it or put serious thaught to what the group build up would look like. I havent done mc since before bc and even then it was only on my lock so its very hard for me to think about what kind of damage things do to a tank.
anyway this is the group set up i initually have been thinking of
Prot Paladin, Resto Shaman, 2 x SL SL warlocks and a shadow priest.
Prot Paladin, i chose to tank because it can give blessings to all other people in the group, fire res aura, has fantastic aoe tanking, can heal himself, uses mana, (i decided this was a good factor as it will benifit form both the shadow priests VT and the shamans mana totems), can cure curses
resto shaman, fire res totems, self res, good direct heals for the paladin, totems to buff every one in the group, i suppose if desperate earth elemental to tank an add, and my fav chain heal goodness.
Warlocks, i decided slsl mainly so that if needed they can drain tank, im takeing a wild guess here but i think they could handle most of the boss adds with a sl void up, can bannish, have great fire res with felhound, soulstones, healthstones, pets for additional tankage, (really i think any really fire res intence tanking one of the warlocks will be doing)
shadow priest, for the buffs, the ve healing, the vt mana return, the shadow spell damage increase for the warlocks, another healer avalible if needed,
MC i think with this set up if all goes to plan (useually doesnt) then shouldnt be too hard, BWL on the other hand i think is pretty complicated, right off the bat trying to control razorgore, the only solution i could come up with was haveing the shadow priest on the mind control orb, paladin tanking in the middle with seed of corruption mayhem, shaman whishing he was somewhere else rather than healing thru the mess.
But the more i think about it the more i really want to give this ago, so i was wondering is there anyone else who has tried this or put any serious thaught into how it could be done?
really i just need the confidance boost to click create character and give this a try :p
And on other notes does anyone have any idea up to what point content has been five manned?
