I have a 68 warrior and a 66 pally, I am having problems macroing them, I can get them both to attact etc, but the problem is when I have follow on, one of them is always just out of range for melay attack, is there an easy way with a macro to sort this out?

No, there is no easy way.
I would recommend having a button that automatically makes your secondary character follow the primary. To have both characters in melee range without much hassle, just run through the mob with the primary and turn around. Your secondary character should be in range then, since the mob is in the follow gap rather than in front of the primary and the whole distance between the primary and the follow gap away from the mob.

This is why I've never done melee followers. Too damn much hassle with "Target out of range" and "Target is not in front of you" errors.
Yep, you can run through them and spin, or hit them and back up, or bind movement keys to your pally that aren't on your warrior and move the pally up into the fray.
I made 50th level last night on my Warrior/Pally combo. Steph wrote the best method for doing this.
When I charge on the Warrior I just keep on running through the mob's geometry and spin them around. Now the Pally will run up from behind it and start bashing it.
This sandwiching works most of the time unless the mob decides to keep repositioning itself.
But there are times when I am inside a cave/dungeon type area, and I don't want the Warrior to run any further in as to avoid getting more aggro. For that reason I have bound the Pally's movement keys to the arrow keys. So in these cases I charge/range pull with the Warrior, and then tap the "up" arrow until the Pally is within melee range (in this case they are facing the same direction and right on top of each other).
But 9 times out of 10 if I am questing out in the world I will use the "sandwich the mob" method. It works great.
EDIT: ^^ Yes, backing up has the same effect. So if Charge is on cooldown and you pull with a ranged attack, you can backpedal, and now the Pally is in the same position as if you charged and turned around. And another thing I do that I just thought of (especially in PvP) is running around my target in a circle-strafe fashion. The Pally will follow in this same manner and can attack off from the side.
